I have been having some aggression issues with Betty. First she loves Jumbones then about 2 weeks ago she got then she was growling at anyone that even passed them even if she didn't have it anywhere near her. A couple of days this week she has been aggressive with family members snapping at them for no apparent reason just for stroking heron ne of my dog groups on Facebook a member said her dog was like that and she took it to the vet an that it wasn't well. A couple more members said i need to get her checked out at the vets which I am going to do. I just noticed yesterday how calm she was and more relaxed she was and then I realised that I haven't had my Scented candle on for a few days and wondered if any other members have had issues with scented candles .

I don't use scented candles so haven't any direct experience, but some scented candles do contain perfumes that could affect dogs. And even if not physically harmful, a dog's sense of smell is so sensitive that she could simply find it unpleasant.

Has she had a Jumbone and been relaxed with it since you stopped using the candles? If she seems to be completely back to normal, I'd avoid candles and any other fragrant items. If she shows any further signs of aggression, I'd definitely take her for a vet check.

Make sure you know how to respond to any signs of aggression, too - in this case, never 'correct' her for the guarding and snapping, but make sure everyone keeps their distance so she feels comfortable, and is aware of the very first signs that she's uncomfortable with the situation.

I haven't given her one as when she got aggressive with them I just binned them all, she never ate them she d just leave them lying around in random places where she knew where they were

I had issues with my dogs with candles and essential oils. They both started reverse sneezing a lot. Since I've removed the oils and candles, they've been fine.
