Hi everione, Maggie here :) :)

An update for the Scottish Open, all forces have been out preparing the track and field for the big event on the 3rd May,

Track being rolled, re-furbishing of the chuck waggon, also our make-shift bar being installed, looking great, will put photos on shortly for everyone to view,

Preparing for a superb week-end for all, will include competitions of -

Darts Matches, - MR.MRS - Football Five Aside - KARIOKE with live Disco -[ Maybe Hog roast, looking into at the moment ]and Beagles Racing display, also all ideas wellcome .

Will be a great weekend for everyone, as we are all looking forward to holding this Big Race Meeting with being the first Scottish Open Event ever held, and we have been putting so much into this as we do want everyone to have a fatastic time, also we will be calling for your expertise on the day for anyone who can help as you are the ones who have more knowledge than we do.[ would be very gratefull]

must thank Jane Rankin as she has been wonderfull with the help of getting prepared for the open 8) 8) and also Kim Saxby for the opportunity to hold this.

Hope to see you on Saturday, as June comming for to do passports, thought it would be good for John as she can explain to him the ins and outs of the dogs who are there to be passed.

Hope John got my letter i sent on to him about the new disqualifying rules, as i will be receiving a few days before the Open any dogs who have been disqualifyed which i will give to John, as he has all the say when it comes to the Racing.

See you all soon.

Maggie xx

I haven't heard anything previously about "new disqualifying rules" - where can we get info?

I asked earlier, haven't seen the reply, whether there was any possibility of fun runs/training/trials for non-passported dogs on the Sat.?

Anybody goin in for this comp needs to be at club tommorow, to get dogs passported, see yous there.! VANS ON THE ROAD,! :D

You will be amazed Garry when you see it, this is the Biggest event the Caledonian has ever had THE FIRST EVER HELD SCOTTISH OPEN, PIPER THE LOT FOR EVERYONE. so looking forward to meeting you all. ;) ;)

I had a walk up the track today,,no work has been done to it and  ,,It;s looking fantastic,,now I would let my Robbie run up it,,as it is now :D . Last year, myself and John gave it it's first cut and it looked okay after it, but this year,,it does not need much as you could run any dog up it,,champs included. Its going to be like a bowling green for the open :) .

The traps look brand new,,a good paint job.

Im looking forward to helping at the open and meeting all the pedi racer's and also seeing the dogs I just read about on here or the whippet news, run in the flesh

Just hope it's dry for the weekend

Well Susan unwrap the cotton wool of Robbie, kick em off the couch and let the wee fella do what hes fab at===RUNNING up the track u talk about me dear.! see yi soon.! :*

Robbie did it all,,,he's a happy lad now,,but Gizmo still want to race,,this track could just do the trick.

Yous should be happy,,this is one of the best whippet track's Ive seen,,and its not even had a cut yet,,it will be the talk of the pedi world, after the open. Yes there may be a few blips at the open,,but the track will be first class. Im sure the first open will be a huge hit for the pedi racing,,I cant wait for the open,,helping out and Johns trying to talk me into middle line judge,,,I think I will work the photo finnish camera first

I think the raffel tickets is my job

It was good to see a few getting passports today.

Can gizmo get a passport too,,or is it a pet passport he needs to go to Spain  :D
