liltte advice please folks ...my new iggy lilybella is a few days into her first season and doesnt seem to be cleaning herself very well ....so do i help her out a bit by cleaning with luke warm water on cotton ball or leave her to it shes not doing a very good job and it looks quite mucky at times ...never had this problem before my other girls have always been very clean any advice gratfully recieved :*

Never had the problem but don't think cleaning in this way would do her any harm

Maia is having her 1st one at the mo too and she is a right mucky moo ;) she's also been bleeding so much more than Molly and has developed a knack of getting the season pants off within a couple of mins of them being on, thank goodness for wooden floors. Maia just lies down beside Molly and lets her clean her 'fou-fou' for her, if you dont have an obliging dog then I'm sure cotton wool and water will be absolutely fine, the joys of girl dogs eh

my lot cant wear season knickers as poppy has a thing for them and will drag them around the house by there asses :- very funny to watch but not nice for the bitch concerned so its a case of following her around with the mope :teehee: lily has cleaned her a few times two but shes still getting very mucky ....although i have just cleaned her and she will lick then because she can taste the water  ooo yes the joys of having girls :teehee:

Thanks for this, ladies, you've just reminded me why I only have boys  ;) :-

Trust Poppy Nicky

Sada is spayed but Kaya and Zana seem to spend their

entire season cleaning themselves bad luck you two with

your mucky mares......shouldnt laugh really i dont know

what Tala is going to be like yet :*

One of the joys of having non breeding bitches and spaying is not having to clean up (especially if your house is carpeted  .)

Do not know if it would work, but if you put something she likes the taste of such as Manuka honey or a smidge of marmite, she might get the idea and start cleaning herself.

A friend of mine covered her entire sittingroom floor with old sheets when her girlie was not too fussy about cleaning herself
