Thanks Clair-Meddling and Janis for lovely comments about my pics, wouldnt be without any of them

Janis your lot love stunning! (w00t)

I believe that when you only have one dog they don’t mature properly due to lack of socialising and living in a dog world. :(

I avoid meeting single dogs on walk because I doubt he has learnt the manners and respect required for approaching dogs that are well versed in dog pack respect and hierarchy. Often the owners have no idea of how their dogs should approach either. (w00t)

Single dogs are often molly cuddled and babied and having another dog live with them allows their maturity and development as dogs.

This is proven to me when we go for walks and a solo dog approaches without knowing the correct etiquette for approaching a pack. As a consequence he is frightened away or worse.

I also believe or at least within my experience whippets don’t like to be solitary dogs and are happier and more fun when another whippet around to stimulate them. :huggles:

This sounds as though I condemning people with one dog, which I’m not, but some people will not let dogs be dogs. :teehee:

At the end of the day I say go for it why should you and your dog settle for half the pleasure when you can double it

I call it: "Any room for a little one?"  They now have a bigger bed in the study.

One thing to consider is that the more dogs you have the more difficult it is to find doggy sitters as that depends on what the doggy sitter is willing and able to cope with. On the other hand, they have each other for company if you have to leave them in kennels or the like.
