£120 is still a rip of these shows are pricing them selfs out of it they are clay shooting mad like country fairs and midland game fair ££££££££££££££££s

Ill tell you why they are doing it..because nobody actually collars the organisers.

last year at the midlands it was a disgrace. both punters and organisers shouldve hung their heads in shame..the prices went up £3 in admission and guess what..? loads of people stayed away..i mean ffsake !!! it costs us a couple of hundred quid to land in england by the way before anything else !!

its no good everyone yapping about prices..start a campaign up..sign a petition..and then hand it in person to these pompous bastards.

listen its not just selby...its these people COUNTRYMANS FAIRS who are probably sitting on their fat holes indoors somewhere.

forget this year..its pay up or shut as far as i can see..but lets organise something to combat this ridiculous and extortionate price tariff for next year.

john..with the dozen times a year in england dogs..every year !

Hi,My friends have been camping at Selby gamefair for a number of years.

They normally pay £30 for the four days.

She has been in touch with Manor Lurcher club today, and has been told that they are no longer able to camp with the Lurcher club, and that the cost is now £120 for the four days.It is something to do with liability, and health and safety. She is all packed and ready to go,and is a little upset that she cannot camp with the Lurcher club. She has also rang Selby Gamefairs, and they have said the same thing.

I have put this post on just so people are aware.

i thought us lurcher folks was supposed to stick together.. it wouldnt hurt anybody to let em camp with the lurchers. some lurcher lovers class game fairs as holidays.. we never get away any other time ! :(

hello no one is complaining about manor.. i just think it spoils things when you cant camp with lurchers.. and we have since found out that the 120.00 includes a pass for the show and we can take cars through to the lurcher rings.. so see you there, ;)

You can camp in my garden Val,£10 a night.full b&b,you will have to kennel the kids!!!

Can i just point out that it WASNT the Manor Lurcher Club who said that you couldn't camp with us. I spoke to the lady earlier, and gave her a number to telephone. That number was for someone from the game fair. The lady wrongly thought that it was another member of the lurcher club. I explained that to her when she contacted me later. Camping and entry fees is nothing to do with me or anyone else in the club!!!

Hi,

The lady in question has since joined k9,i think she will be interested to read this !!

Weather or not it is nothing to do with the club,i think the campers should have been told that things have changed, and that the costs have increasedI do not camp,so it does not effect me,but i am sure you appreciate that when people turn up and are not expecting the £120,it will reflect on your club.I am a big Manor Lurcher club fan,and have done nothing but support your shows on k9.You do a great job.
