The silver is not all that much harder than the bronze although it invloves a 2 minute stay. The gold is a lot more involved including stopping the dog as if in an emergancy (calling them and making them stop at the required place), send to bed (easy for a whippet!!). With practice though you will do it.~Helen~ said:I'm not sure yet... I will have to find out more about what's involved but I'd like to think she could do it :thumbsup:Beerhound said:Well done, are you going for silver and gold? Despite being told that hounds can't achieve gold I have put two Whippies through my Joshua and his mum (my Mum's) Jade. Bradley has his silver.
My Joshua went to sleep during the "out of sight" down stay for the gold!!Deb said:I think I made the mistake of doing a stand and stay. I think a sit would be better and from his point of view laying down would be ideal and could probably stay there all day -_- -_-
A couple of people were allowed a second try at the end. I must say, the lie-down and stay has been a great success. Before that, she wasn't so good, but once I got her relaxed enough to lie-down she was fine  and we passed first time on the night :bDeb said:CONGRATULATIONS JOISIE AND HELEN - a great achievement
Yep, the stay was Diggers downfall when we tried it :- " :- "
Reading this has spured me to think about getting into training with him again.

Not sure how many attempts you are allowed.
Well done.
