13 year ago today a beautiful litter was born to Cajen Whippets (Carolynn Bates) This litter brought us 2 girls that would be the start of Wildhare Whippets. One of those girls is Cajen Fillette JC a red brindle and white that we call Fillie. Fillie is the sweetest girl anyone would ever want to live with. We showed Fillie some, but didn't finish her and this is something we will always regret as she is and was a beautiful Whippet. Fillie also loved to lure course. She got her JC, but we had to stop running her when she injured a foot by hitting a pulley. She still gets very excited when she sees the bunny.
Fillie loves puppies and had 1 litter. We kept our Wildhare The Winters Tale SC (aka Drama) from that litter. Fillie has always helped us raise other litters, by teaching the new puppies manners with her gentle ways.
She's in pretty good shape for an old girl her age. She enjoyed a long nap outside on a sunny day. Also romping on occasion with her daughter, Drama and another one of our girls Delta. She's not so keen anymore on the youngsters as they play too hard for her. She still enjoys meal time and looks forward to it, I think. She does sleep a lot and this worries us. With the cold of winter coming, we hope that she will do ok. She doesn't see or hear as well as she once did, but has learned to adapt.
Fillie is a wonderfull girl and we love her very much and bless ever day we have had and will have with her. Thank you Carolynn for letting Fillie come live with us those many years ago. HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY CAJEN FILLETTE, JC AKA FILLIE We love you.
