awww little mother hen , have you thought about fostering oldies??? maybe fee fee could help you? my jessie is mothering the foster puppies i have here bless heart :)

... PS On a different note could one of the iggy breeders no doubt reading this explain to me what value if any there is in crossing an IG with a whippet, it's a cross I've never 'got'.
as a person whom had an accidental litter of whippet x igs , i feel able to answer , there is no value , they are excellent pets imo but too risky in the wrong hands to be of any real use in the field ,due to leg break risk , however my little 1 i kept even with now just 3 legs she is still able and willing and bloody good as a ferretting partner , the rest of the litter went to pet homes , all they truly are is little pets , well loved for what they are , pets , 1 of the litter owned by racey lady on here is lovely but grown taller than any of his whippet relatives , wild whippys , has a big lad too , so no arguement saying they are little whippet types , my girl grew to 14 1/2 inches and looks just like her dad blue the ig
Thank you for that

Personally I would not breed. There are so many puppies out there why contribute to that. So many end up in rescues when their owners get fed up with them and a host of other reasons. I see no reason for breeding a cross breed, believe you me they fetch money which is why people breed them. After all they are just little mongrels! Give a puppy a home instead.
These cross breeds donot fetch money and are around 200-300 to me thats not alot. Also mongrels they might be but they are still dog's and are no different from pure breeds as pedigrees had to be crossed at some point to make the breed it is today.

the fact that you ask a question on "should i breed" makes me think probably not!!!!also how old in months will your bitch be in May when you intend to breed her....you said she is just over a year??? so if this is the case she is far to young imo.

just because your girl is lovely ect...excellent temp ect...does not always mean the pups will be!!

im not anti breeding as i intend to have a litter from one of mine....however anyone who feels the need to ask if they should breed....in my mind should not.
The fact i ask this question shows i am sensible in thinking about it first and making the right decision and not just doing it anyway!

indeed :) so many animals in rescue right now wouldnt be if only people put more thought into responsible breeding. better to ask questions, ask for information etc and to make an informed sensible choice x

yes i do, and it broke my heart hearing how that poor girl died, what she mustve gone through :( all my pups were vet checked, kc reg, wormed, puppy contracts, home checks, multiple visits etc etc, but i had no control what the new owners did when they bred and sold on their pups, who they went to, nothing :( thats something else that you have to take into consideration: the what ifs. you just cant predict what can happen

So much to consider isn't there..

Yes and ive made a very wise decision not to breed her out of pure love for my bitch and hearing some of the things that may happen just isn't worth it in my eyes! It's my birthday today and i spent my birthday money on my dog how sad am i! Now that's love! :b I'm going to get a puppy again when it's the right time! xxx

not sad at all, weve all done it lol but dont just consider a puppy, there are some wonderful dogs in rescue who would love to have an owner to shower them with love, and would return it tenfold. anyway, any more pics? such a sweetheart

If you want a puppy you have one ,there is less chance (please note i said less chance ) of it being stolen than if you get one from a rescue .

happy birthday dayna hope you have a fantastic day love all at the wiggy house xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sorry, I must be missing something here. Are you suggesting most rescue dogs are stolen?

No you are missing nothing ,what you are actually doing is adding something .

cant say i'd have thought so tbh. a puppy would be less bound to an owner, wouldnt have finished growing so the longer it is, the less chance of recognising it, added to that rescue usually sterilise their animals, whereas a pup can be bred from when it comes of age, if that is the intention behind the theft :( although, granted, it is a big concern re fighting dogs, especially over in america, which is another reason they dont rehabilitate any that come in :(

Don't worry about Dar Khan. that person occasionally talks the biggest load of nonsense I've ever heard. It's not just that I don't agree with what they say - I can't begin to understand where the hell the ideas come from!!

No need to be like that surely :clown: You dont even know who you are talking about .
