We as a club feel like we have been dumped on by the NNWRF, who have changed the Master Blaster Open G/J from Horden to Old Hall, also the date from the 7th Aug.to the 14th. the same day as our RUBY MURRY Open which is sponsered by Cris + Julie ( two committie members). These two clubs are about 30 miles apart, if this is the thanks we get after staging your champs last year at very short notice and keeping two tracks maintained incase the repaired track wasn't ready, which leads me onto the time and effort i put into getting Swallownest track up and running for two years at my own expence. We even went all the way up to Southport at your request to look at a track that was unsuitable to run on, but after spending hours of striding up and downa field looking for somewhere suitable. I feel as th'o ive been totaly used by a user and will never lift a finger to help the NNWRF. again not that our usefulness is any longer needed. Do you act as a committe when two of the committe didnt know you had changed the date, if they had they would probably have voted againt having the open on the same day as one they have sponsered on the same day less than 30 miles away. A clubs top ten open, if well attended can be a lifeline to a club especially a relatively new one, what with ground rent public liabity etc. If organizations have the cartel on dates and venues then clubs will struggle to survive. im assuming this must have been accidental why was the date and venue changed in the 1st place? im sure it will be sorted out.

I am really annoyed at this post Les or Linda ...this is getting all blow out of proportion

The Materblaster open was never down to be run at horden ever ..it was advertised as venue and date to be arranged

However these dates the NNWRF have been given by the Whippet news are only provisional ..i would think most dates for opens are the same the the min until after the weekend

It sadness me to read your topic / post ..this is all down to lack of communication

this was totaly uncalled for and im sure a phone call would of been more apropriate

No lack of communication been on phone to W.N. ONLY AT YOUR END. Bullshit what would a phone call have done? did it not say on here and W.N. Master Blaster Horden Aug 7th.

.

(w00t) Take it from me Les, I am on the committee at Old Hall and this is the first I've heard of this. We haven't even had OUR A.G.M yet and dates are being publicised without any approach to our committee. At least, none that I've heard of.

everything you have done for the fed and racing has been so apeciated les by everyone but we all try to work hard for the sport and think this is a bit over the top no need for that post at all ,and the way i would feel is i would of rang you not posted such a thing on k9 i have too much respect for you. wont say anymore regarding this on k9 apart from hope it gets sorted out

All i can say is Linda sorts all the nnwrf dates venues out with wn..good job really or else if i did it all our opens would clash

I only make the adverts

Sure when she comes onto pc she can explain and sort it out

THIS IS A FORUM TO EXPRESS VEIWS AND OPINIONS AS YOU HAVE SAID MANY TIMES THAT WAS MINE, AND DEE THAT IS THE AMMENDED ONE LOOK AT THE FIRST ONE

Firstly Les DO NOT call me a USER your comments are totally uncalled for

the calendar etc is left to me to sort out ( thats a job in itself believe me ) everything is then put to the rest of committee at our year end meeting owing to the cancelation of our last event the committee meeting has yet to take place owing to that anything pressing the rest of the committee ALL of them have been as allways contacted by phone ( you should see my phone bill )

The copy of the preliminary 2011 calendar which was drawn up as far back as April 2010 along with 2012 calendar which the committee have states on there tbc

One of the two committee member you are refering and I assume he told the other with her being his wife was informed by me on Wed about the proposed change to this date still tbc until after the weekend his only comment was Lynda Windle won't be happy as she's got an open on the 14th, I told Chris I would speak to Lynda on Sunday about swapping dates and the reasons for it as I hadn't seen the WN calendar I wasn't aware of it

myself and the NNWRF committee appreciate all the help you have given us with tracks ect as I am sure the rest of the whippet racers do, and weve allways thanked you very much for it

The NNWRF COMMITTEE don't all live in the same area hence quite a lot of organising anf discussion is done over the phone and we generally trust each other to get on with tasks in the best interests of our members

sORRY DELIA IN NO WAY DID I MEAN TO DRAG OLD HALL INTO THIS.

Where is the 1st one ?

Debate away its good to have healthy debates ..

WHERE HAVE I CALLED YOU A USER, IM CALLING THE FED A USER, WHY WAS THE DATE CHANGED I KNOW IT SAID TBC TO OUR DATE

THE NNWRF 2011 and 2012 PRELIMINARY CALENDARS HAVE BEEN DRAWN UP SINCE APRIL 2010

all dates and venues apart from Champs, Fordingbridge have alongside them tbc ( to be confirmed )

including the 14th August which is still tbc

 No worries Les, let's take a deep breath and with a bit of luck we can get it all sorted, cos we don't want anything to clash with our regions opens. Take care.
