We as a club feel like we have been dumped on by the NNWRF, who have changed the Master Blaster Open G/J from Horden to Old Hall, also the date from the 7th Aug.to the 14th. the same day as our RUBY MURRY Open which is sponsered by Cris + Julie ( two committie members). These two clubs are about 30 miles apart, if this is the thanks we get after staging your champs last year at very short notice and keeping two tracks maintained incase the repaired track wasn't ready, which leads me onto the time and effort i put into getting Swallownest track up and running for two years at my own expence. We even went all the way up to Southport at your request to look at a track that was unsuitable to run on, but after spending hours of striding up and downa field looking for somewhere suitable. I feel as th'o ive been totaly used by a user and will never lift a finger to help the NNWRF. again not that our usefulness is any longer needed. Do you act as a committe when two of the committe didnt know you had changed the date, if they had they would probably have voted againt having the open on the same day as one they have sponsered on the same day less than 30 miles away. A clubs top ten open, if well attended can be a lifeline to a club especially a relatively new one, what with ground rent public liabity etc. If organizations have the cartel on dates and venues then clubs will struggle to survive.
