Teasels never been a manic pup  she does have her moments but she's always been quite a calm little thing o:)

So when we've let her off lead and she doesn't sprint around we've thought nothing of it

She's coming upto 6 months old soon and although we know she can run as we've seen her do it  she does run but seems almost reluctant to pull her back legs through to run flat out

She doesn't seem to be in any pain and can jump up as high as kitchen worktops  but its as if she starts to accelerate and just as she's going to be sprinting she has second thoughts and decides against it

Should we be worried about her ? or is it us being silly again :b I'm reluctant to take her to the vets as I know they'll just say keep an eye on her

Cheers

Steve

I probably shouldn't answer, as I'm only guessing, but if she runs against Leon and Picco at this young age, where she doesn't stand a chance of keeping up with them, maybe she has lost enthusiasm slightly because she is always last?

As I say, only guessing. I'm sure she's fine. Probably best not to let her run around too much when she is so young, but other will know better than me. It's difficult though, because it seems cruel not to let them join in when they're jumping around, desperate to get off the lead. :(

How's Picco's ear...much better I hope :huggles:

Hi Nicola :) thats exactly what it looks like, its as if she starts and then thinks whats the point

She only has little runs at the moment  and only when Leon+Picco have tired themselves out a bit so their not too boisterous with her

But even when she's out on her own and has a little run she doesn't seem to want to run at any sort of speed

Picco's ear has healed really well thanks  all the locals in the pub call him "18 months" now as he only has one and a half ears

Cheers

Hiya Steve Spry was a bit like that at first she always seemed a bit hesitant as if she didn't want to get hurt, I think a lot of it was down to the fact that she didn't at that time have full control over her speed if you know what I mean and I think it frightened her a bit  ,sort of setting off with the girls then thinking OMG if I go too fast I might not be able to stop because she didn't have any brakes at that point either (w00t)

She's nearly 11 months now and knows that she can run as fast as them and has a lot more control so she's fine

Same here Steve, with Kobi too. He was also like Teasel(hes almost 8 months) - till lately ... hes starting speeding up and blasting full sprint with Oscar now.. Oscar used to bool him over so many times - hes had to be really tough (w00t) he knows he can catch him now.
