hi all, just joined this forum and wanted to know can you show black and white whippets. i have a black and white dog 4months old from mainly nimrodel and peperone lines, all answers appreciated.

Of course you can show a black & white Whippet, there are many colours to be seen in the ring although black & white is in one of the minority colours shown. One of the members here, TC, is currently enjoying success with her dog puppy, Badger, and has posted some pics which you will be able to find.

In fact I think we currently have a nice mix of colours around and its been good to see a few more of the whites, blacks and blues in the numbers also.

I am sure there are many out there who will happily advise you on your pup, nice lines too, and perhaps you could post a pic or too?

Welcome  :luck:

thanks for your reply,i show mainly bullmastiffs and neapolitans and its just that all the whippets i see are either fawn or brindle. ill try get some pics up shortly when i sort my camera out . thanks again.

Oooh ooh - another black and white for me to drool over (I'm a black and white fan, Zinzari)

Nimrodel and Peperone lines? Is your pup by any chance bred by Mary Lowe and the sire is Peperone Pacesetter at Gilnockie?

If so - I have a half brother to your pup. He is Gilnockie Ace of Spades (Imp UK) sired by Pacesetter, bred by Anita Turner.

If you click on my id on the left it will take you to my profile and then click on 'member's topics' and look for any thread titled "Cash" and you will be able to see him. If you also look for thread's titled "Striker" or "JD" you'll be able to see Cash's sons. All are black and white.

Also if you go to the General Discussion forum - there is a thread in there about "Who's got b&w whippets" and there are heaps of pics from k9'ers who own coloured whippets!

Welcome to k9! Can't wait to see pics of your baby

just bumped up that thread in General Discussion so you can find it easily.

It's called "Who owns Black/blue whippets?"

hi aslan, just looking at his pedigree, peperone pace setter of gilnockie is his grandfather. his sire is nimrodel not guilty at fallswater.i got him in co. wexford ireland.bred by matt slevin. he doesnt show his dogs, they,re all working whippets

This is the first I've seen of this dog Dukie! (Anita's not the greatest correspondent in the world ;) ) Is he Bandanna's brother? Who's Matt?

HE'S GORGEOUS!

Hi Lana,

Yes, Zach is a repeat mating of your boy Cash, we've had him for a few weeks now and he's settling in well. He has a really lovely nature and gets on with everyone!! He's really made himself at home

Here's a pic of Nimrodel Not Guilty at Fallswater, or Finlay to his friends!!

I can't believe you haven't put a pic up of Desmond Dessie!!

Here is The Badge Man, not long been in the ring as he's not quite 8 months, but he's won a fair few classes since he hit the mats, had two BPD, 2 x RBPIS, BPIB, and a RBOB so far so he's holding his own being a black and white.

I love him just a tad  all the more so because he also works for a living (w00t)

Oh, and the suit was navy blue so not half as bad in real life as it looks in these pics, promise lol!

One more of the lad, cos I just love my expression on this photo while we're waiting to move in the challenge :b

Got to agree there Lana, better in WCW pic tho' TC  don't hide the lad with dark clothes, too good to miss. Lovely to see some many pics of the 'blacks' out there, so I think the original question is answered, don't you? We just wait now for more pics, perhaps we ought to have a 'white' photo gallery too, then blue.....
