Hello all,

I'am new to this forum, and was considering whether to start showing my Elkhound. Does anyone here show often? And would it be advisable to visit the LKA show at the NEC to get a feel for things?

Also on another note, does anybody know what lead and collar would be suitable? And buy them ?

the best person to consult is the breeder of your pup

They'll be able to offer you lots of advice, and have a vested interest in your hound showing to the best of his/her/your ability

Contact the kennel club for ringcraft classes in your area too

Attending a show to watch is useful. Again, contact your breeder as spare tickets may be available at no cost to you. They come free with entering a dog so there are often spares

Ps - we need to see puppy pics
