hi,

reading through a few of the topics i have seen mentioned the midlands county and midlands whippet shows. i was wondering if any one could give me the details of these shows as i am quite new to the whippet world and would like to go to them.

i live in the midlands so thought that they might be a good place to start.

thanks in advance. :)

Midland Whippet Champ Show is Sunday 22nd October. Judging starts at 10am. It's at The Ken Marriott Leisure Centre, Rugby.

Midland Counties is a General Champ Show (other breeds as well as Whippets). Hound day is Sunday 29th October at Bingley Hall, Stafford Show Ground, judging starts at 9am

Hope this is of some help

sorry to highjack your thread fatwhippet

but how can I find out what shows are anywhere near to me? is there a list anywhere that I can look through and try to work out if I have any idea where in the country the show is, and whether I can manage to drive there and back in one day

now you know why I'd be looking for a 'hobby' show dog and not a 'serious' one :p

if you call the kennel club and subscribe to the kennel gazette it has all the shows from limit to champs all over the country

it is a monthly magazine so you will never miss another show (w00t)

Oooh, I don't know now. Mine is an electronic Adobe file that was emailed to me. I can't make that into a link can I?

It definitely says that it is at the Ken Marriott Leisure Centre, so I must just have to come on the 22nd then................... Thank God Fatwhippet put this thread on

:sweating: phew! well done fatwhippet

gosh, started quite a debate here ! :- " did anyone actually decide on if it is the 15th or the 22nd ?

like i said, i dont show but am very intrested in finding out a bit more about it. both of these shows are quite close to me as i am in wolverhampton. hopefully i'll see some of you there.

dont worry about hijacking the thread, i just wanted the info and i subscribed to the kennel gazette online earlier today !!

good luck to everyone showing! :luck: :luck:

I can assure you it is the 22nd October 2006 at the Ken Marriott Centre Rugby. I could have done with it being on the 15th as I am going to see Jim Davison the night before and I will have to come home early to get to the show on time to set it up :(

I think I will go on the 15th  ;)

Yes, but you're doing bitches Jax and that's no good to me as I have a young man in tow. Can't you get Mr Cowie to come with you 8) :- "

Looks like I'll have to turn up on the 22nd and miss my birthday lunch

See you all there. It's our first show in months so looking forward to it
