Hi all,

if a single judge is judging both dogs and bitches at a (UK) champ show, how will the running order go? For instance will MPD be followed by MPB or will the dogs be all, say in the morning and the bitches in the afternoon? or is this up to the individual show committee or the judges preference and will it be made clear on the show schedules?

TIA

Rachel

Dogs first, always, then bitches. Unless there are two judges. !

All shows wherethere is one judge start with dogs first then once the dogs have finished the bitches start. Quite often the judge will have a lunch break(time permitting) after the puppy bitch class.

Thank you for the replies. It must be a very long day for a single judge - does he/she volunteer to do it alone?

Judges are Invited to judge, indeed it is an honour to give CCs in any breed , most entries are below 200 dogs and societies ask that we judge both sexes .Breed Club shows, CRUFTS The Hound show and South wales C A I think are the only ones that have 2 judges .

I remember when we only had 1 judge for Crufts (w00t)

I find it helps if I dont break for lunch, as i like to keep my concentration , so yes , it is a very long day . tiring both mentally and physically .But I would never refuse an appointment
