Have you noticed if your dog/s sleep with their eyes open?

I'm sat here watching Dippy sleep and her eye's are wide open and she's in the middle of rapid eye movement (REM sleep) and its really freaky.

Is this normal?

Dunno it it's normal, but one of my kids sleep with an eye or eyes open sometimes....

I reckon it's the gypsy coming out in her....

:- " ;)

zeb sleeps with his eyes open. I can watch him when his like that.

Yep,our old girl Kizzy used to sleep like that...it really freaked me out!!! She looked like the devil!!

all mine do it so does alexs it can be a bit wered

Star does that too - it's horrid :x

dana too, its freaky but cute to watch

Thats ok then, I've not seen her do it before...

Probably do it so they can still keep an eye on you even when there asleep.

oh yes, Spriet and Tibbie both do this

All mine do this, (even One Eyed Freddie the Legend (RIP :( ), with his remaining eye, he had glaucoma) as well as making funny noises a bit like muffled barking and yelping, twitching and making running like movements mostly with their paws (a sonambulatic whippet would be really scarey!). I think it is quite sweet, even the rolling eyeball stuff! :huggles:
