It must be particularly ripe at this time of year as Bluebell keeps on too.

I've always used tomatoe ketchup on the dog itself. Leave it to dry and then brush out. Sounds disgusting but works. Maybe it will work on the leather collar?

FOUR of mine did this yesterday!!! Including the 'small and oh-so-innocent' iggies!!!

The iggies wear cotton fabric collars so I put them in a bowl to soak with loads of fabric wash and after a few hours put them through the washing machine with a couple of dog-towels (not our clothes). They wash really well.

The leather collars I scrubbed with Flash and will treat with leather softener/cream today when they're dry to make them soft again.

The dogs were all bathed with baby shampoo which didn't quite remove the smell but it usually goes after a few days and then I wash their beds. Sometimes I use a product called 'Bac-to-Nature' which is an enzyme spray to remove dog odours It kills the smell straight away but I wouldn't use it on the iggies skin because they're too delicate. (It's the dog version of 'Fabreze' which I would never use on dogs).

ps Are you going to Dundee neave? See you there :D

Tinned tomatoes works just as well as ketchup and is a lot cheaper

am giggling at the thought of Fabreezing dogs (not that I ever would!)

ketchup is the best thing for foxs poo it might be worth if he does it every walk to get hold of some of the single packs you get in cafes and carry them round with you to get strat on it so it drys before you get back. its just one of the many joys of whippethood

get your leather collers before the dog weres them and treet them witha good leather protector with waterproofing then the foxs poo just wipes off. i do it every time mine get new collers and the protetiv barrere stop the smell inpregnating the leather i use sherrwoods i think its called it smells like marzipan :D
