i caught a glimpse of somebodys dog called Merlin had been bitten by a snake. can someone tell me ...

WHO INVENTED SNAKES AND JUST WHATDA EFF IS THE POINT OF THEM ?i dont get it..you cant walk them..you cant cuddle them..the dont answer to their name so what are they for ?

if i had a snake id have it painted with blue and white hoops and wear him like a "Queens Park Rangers" or in green and white for the "Northern Ireland" matches.as a scarf ! or teach him to "LIE DOWN at the door like a draught excluder.

WHAT USES WOULD YOU HAVE FOR THESE POINTLESS CREATURES.....OH AND SLUGS TOO !! WHOS IDEA WAS IT TO TEACH THEM HOW TO CLIMB MY GATE SO I CAN SQUISH THEM WITH MY HAND COMING HOME AT NIGHT ... :x SLIMEY BARSTWARDS ?

me

waste of time, freaky creatures.

Aww dont be mean  I think they are cute & i bet if you had one as a pet they would be affectionate. :)

We saw one last year whilst out walking the dogs over the golf course it was just bang slap right in the middle of the path in front of us. Bright luminous green. I was scared it would get trod on so i picked him up & put him in the bushes for safety, my hubby nearly passed out, he was scared stiff of the poor little thing (w00t) :p

  My cats used to catch grass snakes years ago .... then they realised they couldn't eat them and gave up trying (w00t)

Suppose snakes are useful in the dust bowl of Oz - catching those big spiders and other spooky creatures??

Oh and where would the Indian population be without snakes to charm :- "

They are beautiful creatures and have a right to live here on earth as we do. Many people have them as pets and love them a great deal.

They won`t hurt you if they can get away. Most snakes will hear you coming and hide away without you even knowing they are there.

Everyone is different and some people don`t like dogs....yes..Difficult to understand, isn`t it ?...But it is true...Each to his own !!

If a dog or any other animal tries to hurt, catch or chase another animal, the victim has a right to defend itself and in most cases this is by biting or stinging. It is nature.

We live in a beautiful world with some very beautiful creatures. There should be room for all if some people were more tolerant of others.

I have pet rats. I have 8 of them and some people screw up their faces when I tell them. They associate all sorts of things with rats...dirt , squalor, disease etc..

They are so maligned ! Fancy rats are the cleanest of animals. They are very intelligent and can learn tricks etc. ALL my rats come to their name when called. All are very loving and give me such enjoyment and pleasure.

As I said....Each to his own. All creatures have a right to be here and it is up to us as humans to respect that fact.

Sorry if this comes across as `soap box` but I feel very strongly about it. There are so many `grumps` about things lately....how about discussing something nice and friendly for a change.
