now come on you lot...lets not start bickering on like the whippy and iggy lot...us lurcher types are better than that aren't we :- " :D

if our dogs work they work..if they run they run...if they show they show..and they are only as good as the effort you are prepaired to put in...no matter what stock they are from

Mark is telling the truth, he did contact me about purching a pup for a mate of his.

But they were all sold, and should Mark be in intrested in having one of my next litter then I can't see any problem, thats if he is prepared to pay the asking price (£200) Geoff

Hope you realise Mark that although it sounds like you've got a cracking new dog  You might get asked a few questions as to how much greyhound is in it when you race it :- " Don't worry us whippet/greyhound owners will come to your rescue, cause we don't mind what type of cross races ;) :D Karen

I think Mark may have cracked it, ;)
I THINK YOU COULD BE RIGHT THERE GEOFF AND IF THERE WAS A DOGGY SHOP AROUND HERE IT WOULD BE FULL OF THESE LOT TRYING TO GET A BETTER ONE TAKE CARE MARK

You can't talk Mark, you've just given your dog CAT to Joe, and gone out and bought, or had given to you another dog to race this year. Some people think that your dogs are burnt out, because you started couresing them at 5 months old, and thats the only reason you've had to get another one. My dogs will be with me untill the day they die of old age, but yes i am getting another pup, if Ellie is mated later this year, and yes i do want it for raceing, but if it turns out to be the slowest dog that ever walked this earth, it will still be with me when it's old and grey.

If you had the chance to get a pup out of the fastest dog in cornwall, which is related to the two fastest dogs in Ireland, i don't think that you would turn the chance down. Everybody knows that Geoff Fletcher breeds some very good dogs, is that why you tried to buy a puppy off of him?

Why are'nt you telling anybody on here, what your new dogs breeding is, when you are so proud of the fact that Kit and Cat were working lurchers. Is the new dog a working dog or your new raceing dog for the summer? :phone: ;)

WELL DI YOURE NOW JUST TYPICAL OF THE MOUTH PEACES DOWN HERE .WELL LET ONE PERSON STAND UP AND BE COUNTED AND TELL ME THAT MY TWO YES TWO AS I WOULDNT SELL MY TWO FOR ANYTHINNG ARE BURNT OUT, IT MAKES YOURE 2 SHIT THEN AS YOURE FASTEST CANT TOUCH MY SLOWEST ?? NOW TO GEOFF I DID ASK HIM ABOUT A PUP AND IT WAS FOR TONY THE ONE WITH THE STAFF NOT ME SO AGAIN YOURE WRONG,AND JUST TO REMIND YOU I GOT OFFERED £1000 FOR EACH PUP AND WOULDNT SELL AND AGAIN THEY ARE WORKIN LURCHERS NOT LIKE OTHER PEOPLES DOGS DOWN HERE NOW BURNT OUT WHICH ONE OF YOUR KNOW NOTHING FREINDS RECONS THAT COME ON LETS PUT THIS TO BED ONCE AND FOR ALL AND LETS SHOW THESE BURNT OUT DOGS TO THE LURCHER FOLK

It was you that e.mailed me and told me that Joe's dog was put down, and it was you who e.mailed me again the next day to say that you had given Joe your dog Cat, so don't make out that i am making things up Mark, it is also you who is going around saying that Steve's dog Maggie is a greyhound, when you know the man who bred her, and you also know her two sisters.

And as for my fastest dog can't even beat your slowest, i think you must of been at the wrong Whippet gro

und then, because trent could'nt beat Cat, but her did beat your Kit.

Please don't bother to e.mail me anymore Mark because from now on i don't consider you a friend anymore.

You still don't seem to be willing to share any news about your new dog, but seem proud enough to challenge everyone on the The Lurcher Show Ground forum, and how the trophys have all got your name on them this year, or is this just another attempt to wind someone up...?

Who was running their dogs at 12 weeks old then Mark, we did'nt get Magpie untill she was five months old. Why don't you come in the feild instead of peeping outside, or is that because you are band from the ground.?

was thinking of getting involved with the racing and coursing for the first time this year...but after reading how small minded and back-stabbing people are in this sport (just like the whippet and greyhound lot!) i think i'll give it a miss

hubby has had lurchers for years as working and none working dogs and we have just recently started getting involved in the showing so i can be more involved with the dogs  ...but have not up to now heard any of the proper lurcher boys and girls bickering on like a bunch of babies...tracy

You are right to not get involved with lurchers, raceing and showing, but i am sure that if someone was telling lies about your dogs you wouldn't like it either, i have been a friend to Mark but now i can't take it anymore.

if you had been a true friend to mark as you say...you would not have started a topic with the sole intentions of making mark look less than an upstanding member of the k9 community...and if you were his friend then any issues you had about him and his dogs would have been done in private when they first bacame an issue instead of in public as a bitter retaliation to a bit of winning mans banter

I think it is very sad, that you,ve been put off racing and coursing,by what has been said in this topic.there are to few people doing it now, it will die out if more people don,t join in, it should be fun dog aganist dog is what it is all about not putting people and their dogs down, we go out to have fun run our dogs rasie money for chairty and BBQ. poor Di only asked Mark for some information on his new dog ,where the rest of this topic came from I don,t no, please do not be put off, not everybody is small minded and back stabbing, thankfully they are very few and far between, as long as we and our dogs enjoy ourselfs thats all that matters so I hope to see you at some shows this season. cat
