I can't seem to get very sharp pictures at the mo', but here are a few of Fred and Stan in the garden.

Fred loves to soak up the sun in true whippet style..........

Stan thought it a tad too hot today................

..and decided to seek out the shade under the ivy (squashing my flowers in the process  ).

I have to keep him on an extendable lead in the front garden as they are all open, but he's quite used to it, and it doesn't stop him going in and out as he pleases.

 great pics
Lovely pictures of Fred & Stan, Nicola. I used to get really worried about Josh lying like that in the sun - I was always afraid he would burn because he wouldn't move until he was absolutely boiling hot. 8) Haven't noticed Muffin sunbathing yet - he's still at an age where he doesn't stay still longer than a few minutes at a time! :teehee: o:)

Aww they are still smashing pictures Nicola - loved them. Your two are lovely :huggles:

no wonder Stan likes the shade , with his thick coat ! All whippets must love the heat, ours lies under the radiator all evening if you let her. Spends sunny afternoons moving with the sun around the garden 8)

Awwwh! Lovely both of them. At least dogs only squash flowers, the chickens dig a nice big hole before they lie down !

Lovely piccies - no wonder yo ahve to keep Stan on a lead -I'm amazed that Fred doesnt leg it. My lot would (w00t)

Nice photos. It's what Sundays are for eh Fred. :D

Thanks for your replies.

Fred is an absolute angel...he never runs off......he's one in a million..but he's a mature chap now and knows which side his bread is buttered, and he's very attached to me. He lies down for so long, and then goes back into the house to cool off when he gets too hot. He's in and out like a yo-yo.

Stan is a typical naughty terrier type, hence the lead. He did try to dig a nest, but I put a firm stop to that (w00t)

They did go out for a nice long walk later that afternoon when it had cooled down a bit. I've now stripped out the rest of Stan's coat so he should be a bit cooler now. :sweating:
