A few days ago I realised that the tag had come off Scrumpys collar. I thought it must have come off as she was crashing through the undergrowth in the park. The chances of finding it were pretty slim so I was going to get another one done this weekend.

Yesterday I got home to find a message on the answerphone from a very nice man who had found it on Stapeley Water Gardens car park. We were there on Sunday for the lure coursing. He was very concerned that we may have lost a dog or that one had been injured. He's phoned again today & is going to post it back to me. We had a lovely chat about dogs, he has had lurchers in the past.

I thought it was so nice of someone to take the trouble to do that & he was relieved to find out that our dog was ok & not lost.

He wouldn't even give me his address so I could send him the postage money.

When you read about all the bad things that happen it's nice when something little like this happens to restore your faith a little

SOME NICE PEOPLE OUT THERE. :D :D :D LADY P,SOMERSET LURCHERS.

Episodes like that do indeed restore our faith in the human race when there's so much around to put us off our own species... good for you! :)

its nice when somebody takes the time to do sucvh a good deed  we our kiplin lost his collar earlier this year and about a week later a man phoned to say he had found it and very kindly posted it back to us :)

I found a very expensive looking collar in the woods by my mums. I had all the good intentions of posting it back but totally forgot and it must have got lost under the seat of the car. It was almost a year later i found it! I did post it back with a note explaining where i found it and explaining i hoped that it wasnt causing distress posting it back. My postcode was on the back of the envelope and i got a lovely card back ... the dog was fine. The owners found it funny that the collar was lost in Yorkshire and returned from scotland a year later.

I have had a concerned phone call from Mouse's lost collar before and was very grateful for it ... he was fine but its nice to know people take the time to check.

Thats lovely :)

Personally I think that most people are law abiding citizens, who have principles.

There are a few who do stuff i would frown on! they just get around alot :teehee:
