WE TRIED TO BE HONEST AND FAIR EVEN THOUGH THIS HAS UPSET EVEN MEMEBERS OF OUR OWN CLUB

WE STAND BY OUR FOUNDER'S COMMENTS THAT ALL PEOPLE ARE WELCOME AT THURROCK CLUB AND OPENS AND WE WILL ALWAYS ENDEAVOUR TO BE FAIR AND HONEST.

BUT IF MEMBERS DO NOT AGREE WITH DICISSIONS MADE THESE SHOULD BE AIRED AT OUR AGM. BUT LIKE EVERYONE THEY ARE FREE TO RACE. WHERE THEY WISH.

THIS HAS LEFT BAD TASTE FOR EVERYONE AND MARRED AN OPEN THAT THURROCK HAS PLANNED AND SUPPORTED FINANCALLY.

BUT WHILST I AM CHAIRMAN I WILL ALWAYS INSIST ON HONESTY AND FAIRNESS EVEN IF THIS PUTS ME IN A DIFFICULT POSITION LIKE TODAY

Please don't patronise me, Mark didn't expect our dog to be weighed by a different set of scales than any other. If it was our blunder we'd have accepted it but fact is the organisers admitted to scales being incorrect yet carried on regardless, it's not rocket science to figure out that scales weighing 3/4oz over would not affect each dog the same.

It's also worth noting that the reading on digital scales is affected by battery level/mobile phones. The NNWRF also have a couple of check weights which i'm sure they'd let you use.
 
Just for you Carol ;) thats if I heard Geoff right earlier :lol: Scratch results 36lb Junior Walker....40lb Trelawneys Girl (Well Done Di :thumbsup: ) and No Limits Our Ebby.Junior Walker withdrew from Supreme,but haven't spoke to Geoff since,so we'll have to wait :lol:

BUT THE FACT REMAINS THE SCALES WHERE NOT CALIBRATED PROPERLY AND WEIGHED HEAVY JOHN AND MYSELF SAW IT WITHOUR OWN EYES.WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED WAS COMMON SENSE SHOULD HAVE PREVAILED AND A BIT OF LEEWAY SHOULD HAVE BEEN APPLIED WHOEVER IT CONCERNED.THE SPORT SEEMED TO GO OUT THE WINDOW.WE MUST ALL ACCEPT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM AND WHATS FAIR EVERYTHING MUST BE ABOVE BOARD,I DONT INTEND TO COMMENT ON THIS AGAIN AND THE SUBJECT SHOULD BE PUT TO BED.

Constructive criticism is one thing...slagging off hard working people is another, as demonstrated by the illiterate on here.

I only came on here to view the results, and it's gone crazy...

The SEWRC will be here long after we have all moved on, and good luck to all who work and contribute, I hope in the near future to spend more time with the club, as it is run by honest and well meaning people.

WE ARE NOT PARTONISING YOU OR MARK. ALL DOGS RACED AS WEIGHED. UNFORTUNALELY SOME NON COMMITTEE MEMBERS SUGGESTED THAT IT WOULD BE OK TO RUN

I DO NOT KNOW WHY MARK WAS TOLD THE SCALES WERE 4 OZ OUT WE HAD OUR OWN PERSONAL SCALES (WHICH MAKES 2 SETS OF SCALES NOT 3 AS PREVIOUSLY STATED) WE WEIGHED OUR OWN DOG CANDY MILL ON THE CLUB SCALES AND SHE WEIGHED 21 AND 4OZ ON OUR SCALES SHE WEIGHED 21 2 AND FLASHED TO 21.3.

UNFORTUNATLY WE WERE NOT IN THE WEIGH IN ROOM AND MARK SOUGHT US OUT AND WAS ALWAYS POLITE AND HELPFUL

THERE HAVE BEEN MANY TIMES WHEN WE HAVE WEIGHED OUR DOGS AT THE CAR THEN BEEN TOLD THY WERE HEAVIER OR A DIFFERNT WEIGHT TO OUR SCALES.

UNFORTUATELY THIS ISSUE AND SUBSQUENT COMMETS HAVE SPOILT THIS OPEN.

A massive well done to Di and Steve and of course Leia she must of ran out of her skin,that van will be rocking all the way back to cornwall lol!!!!! :thumbsup:
