i recently watched a episode of Top Gear were a Greyhound was racing a sports car round a Greyhound track,the dog won.. so my question is this, whats the fastest a Greyhound has ever been clocked at?

Dunno, but Max's fastest race time was 480m in 30.06 seconds which, according to my vague calculations, is about 40mph. (w00t)

Speed = Distance / Time (you need to convert to yards though for mph) so Swifty was a bit quicker! :thumbsup:

I had a racing greyhound, Pan aka Executive Speed. He ran 725mts in 42.76 seconds, thats 61.04kph not sure what it is in Mph. RIP Pan

I think Brett Lee holds the World record. 515mts in 28.88sec that's 64.20 kph!! Go the Aussies!!!!! (w00t) He is now at stud for some ridiculous fee but is producing some brilliant dogs. My friend who was in partnership with me with our dog Pan has bred Pan's mum Executive Maggie to a Brett Lee son, the pups are looking very promising.
