Yes, its to prevent stopper pad injuries. I also noticed a few dogs where the vet wrap has slipped onto the front feet surly this must be hindering the dogs racing ability ,,,one of our none peds has had a bad problem with tearing the stopped back this year during her racing, we were also wrapping her up, but found she was losing yards, we since have had the full stopper removed and she is back to her racing times
