Boy, what a day we had, and the weather kept up. It was great to see everybody in attendance at the first show of the newely formed Sporting Whippet Club of Northern Ireland, and such a large number of Whippets. What a summer we will have in front of us. Congratulations to the overall winner of the show JOE LEONARD. What a beautiful whippet, and a well deserved win. Joe went home with an armful of trophies for his whippets. Also congratulations to JANET DUKE, her Whippet won the overall in racing at the show. Well done Janet. We got a 2nd with our lovely whippet silver, and got a very nice trophy too. I also won a box of chocolates in the raffle. Congratulations to the rest of the winners, too numerous to mention. Sammy, you done a wonderful job today, a credit to your organising skills,as did Billy Harpur with his camera, John Humphries with his video recorder, Colin(Coatsy), Sammy and all the helpers and committe, and not forgetting Davy the judge and his helper Lynda, a job well done. Myself and big John really enjoyed our day at the show.

Cant wait to the next show.
