As you have mantioned your forthcoming visit, I think that it would be appropriate to use this thread to reveal that the 2nd running of the Lampingman Spring Trophy will take place during the first week of April2007

Readers may recall that the first running in April last year resulted in a creditable draw . I can announce that things will be different this time :rant: The gloves are off and we are ready!!All 4 of Lesley@s dogs are invited to compete although I don't think the rules can be bent to accommodate a Bull/Greyhound so perhaps Kane better stay at home (w00t) (w00t)

Well then. I can see that the Spryers have got their cheer leaders TC et al. All I can say is Henrietta is such a laid back girl now since her speying that I personally can suffer all slings and arrows from the other side :rant: in the sure knowledge that quality will out (w00t) . I wasn't going to mention this, well I was actually, but the discerning reader will recall that the Born to Runners went to the Spryers turf last September and unleashed their secret weapon . Yeh, you've got it. the boy ZORRO :angry: (be afraid ) took the laurels in fine style :lol: :lol:

Oh heck! I was warned that Pedigree Whippet Racing had its dark side :devil: but I never believed it till now. Wouldnt want to meet either of you two down a dark alley had you just lost to the other!

I dont usually lose Boot and if I do its on a technicality but in my experience lampy just cries a bit then drinks himself into oblivion usually taking my OH with him

Talking of OH, lampy, Andy says when it the wine shipment due :- "

Zorro might be too tired to race by then anyway what with his new career :huggles:

Kane will give him a run and slow down a bit for him so he can keep up, and if he's still too fast there's always Callie

Speaking of wine. ) Yes. I am forever in awe of Andy's capacity. To that end, and realising that the said A likes to hit the ground running as it were I have began to lay in stocks as I speak. Furthermore (w00t) I am liaising with my neighbours for them to allow the siting of two bottle banks on their property for the disposal of Andy's empties :- " The spirit of good neighbourliness will I am sure prevail but one neighbour has memories of the bawdy songs of last year from Lesley and Andy and has stipulated that the granting of banking facilities will be dependant upon strict adherance to a no singing and no fighting policy for the duration of their visit. :lol: Now I don't know which will be harder to achieve, a Spryers win on the track or a committment from them to behave
