I am not a happy bunny due to the rumour that is circulating about Bradley  and I would like to point out that he is entire, and there are people on here who have judged him who can verify this.

Why people have to start and spread nasty rumours about other people's dogs I don't know, we do not want it in our breed. You know who you are and please leave my dog alone.

here ya go hun ,have a hug :huggles: sounds like ya could do with one or maybe two :huggles:

Becky , he would not have done the winning he has if hed not been entire , ;) :huggles:

Its not a rumour Ive heard so I shouldnt worry  jackie .

Someone would have to be pretty dumb to start a rumour like that, it has to be the easiest one in the world to disprove!! :b

Maybe we can all 'check' him out at Crufts

Well, I think I can count to two - I usually can anyway, and I seem to remember placing him first in a large Post Graduate Class. I certainly wouldn't give an award like that to a dog that's not entire!!

Becky. I haven't heard this rumour, but don't get upset by it. It's such a stupid story to circulate anyway. Bradley proves it wrong every time he gets a card - and anyone who likes him enough to consider using him will have seen him winning and know it can't possibly be true!

My mother can vouch that he is entire, like Vanna, she judged him not that long ago.

Becky, Ignore these uncalled for rumours.

Ah don't let it upset you, his record speaks for itself. A silly rumour really as has already been said, so easy to prove its not true.

Becky

I haven't heard the rumour either. How very upsetting for you. I know how it feels, I had a very unpleasant rumour circulating about Beauty when she was winning loads of CCs and although I knew it was false and her winning proved it, it still really bothered me.

If you find out who it is, tell them what you think of them.

:luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:

Cathie

Bit of a silly rumour...............your own eyes would soon

tell you if it was true or not :b

Someone needs to think again if thats the best they can

come up with in the idle gossip stakes

:( so sorry to hear you are upset Becky. :(

Let them get on with it, THE DOG SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.

Have a hug Tooooo :huggles:

Hello Becky

So sorry to hear your lovely fawn boy, Bradley is the brunt of a nasty rumour. I haven't heard it probably cos I do tend to keep myself to myself :- " My heart goes out to you

Also Cathie, I hadn't heard anything when Beauty was doing all her winning. People can be so cruel when you are doing well and it's hard to ignore & very upsetting.

Yvonne

:huggles:

I've not heard it either - what a ridulous rumour to start as it can be so easily shown to be absolute tripe! Wouldn't worry about it  I heard a wondeful rumour not so long ago about who apparently I will be using on my puppy bitch when I apparently have a litter - wish they'd told me!!! (w00t) (w00t)

Just ignore it!! Your the one doing all the winning and can prove to the whole world your boy IS entire!!! There just jealous! Have a hug :huggles:

Becky - someone once said this to me and I keep it in mind -

"When people stop talking about you, you cease to be interesting".

Wasn't it your lovely Oscar Wilde who said "it is better to be talked about, than not talked about"?

Many years ago, I was showing a young male Whippet who one of my competition was spreading a rumor about. She was saying he was over the height limit of our standard (in fact, he was not, but he had a very long, white neck and a lot of presence, and he did "appear" larger than he was) and that I was therefore doing something unethical, namely showing a dog I knew to have a disqualifying fault.

Now, there are two ways a dog gets measured here in the USA--either the judge must think perhaps the dog is not within size and call for the wicket to be brought OR a competitor who is actually in the ring must "protest" the dog (this requires the payment of a fee which is returned if the protest is upheld, or retained if the protest is not upheld).

So, she showed against me, never protested, and still spread the rumor.

I waited until we had a large show where everyone she had been saying this to was present, including the rumor-spreader. I put my dog on the grooming table, and said to the judge, "I want to protest that a dog in this class should be measured". The judge said, "Which dog?". I said, "This one. Mine." The judge's eyebrows really shot up. I handed the steward my protest fee while the wicket was bring brought to the ring. Then, my dog was seen to measure in easily in front of a large gallery of people, my nemesis was made to look foolish, and I got my protest fee back right away. And that was the end of that particular rumor.

That was sweet.

Now, I don't know if there is anything similar you can do in the UK, but here in the USA, there is nothing stopping you calling a protest on your own dog if you want to make a point of him not having a thing wrong with him. Many people do not know this. The judge said it was the first time he'd ever seen a handler protest their own dog, but there wasn't any rule that said they COULDN'T and he thought it was a fine idea if you needed to put ringside gossip to rest.

I left out the part where I stuck out my tongue at her when the wicket was being lowered onto his shoulders.

That would have made me look bad, so I left that part out.

JUST LOVE IT   Here in NZ we don't have the protest process :(

Becky, I had a similar incident about 15 years ago where we had a lovely bunch of witches who were fiercely spreading the word my boy had one nut - so I waited until there was a nice wee bunch of people around & dramatically swooped up the boy & claimed "OMG there is something wrong with this dog! - he has 2 testicles when he is only supposed to have one" I eyeballed the rumormongers & that was the last of that.

But it never stops :( when you are doing well, there is always the odd sad-o who take pleasure in being nasty & hurtful  I find a good face to face calm confrontation slows these pathetic people down (albeit momentarily) - sadly competition does create monsters  - However, judging by the support on this post from your fellow exhibitors, there good people outweigh the rotters

The comments still cut though - just broaden those shoulders & be encouraged that clearly you have a great dog - it's when they don't talk about you you worry :huggles:

SORRY YOU BEEN UPSET BECKY :( SOME PEOPLE CAN BE SO SPITEFUL AND JEALOUS,THEY SHOULD GET THEIR FACTS RIGHT.WHY CAN'T FOLKS JUST BE FREINDLY AND ENJOY THE LOVELY BREED.

ALL THE BEST :huggles: :huggles:
