When peggy gets up after being rested she goes stiff in her right hind (this was her worst leg and where shes lost muscle tone)Its only been 7/8 weeks since her injury AND shes done sooo well

She can go out for short walks and she can trott and even start to join in to play ball at times, but i was wondering what i could give her to help this stiffness

I give her evening primrose and started to give her glucosamine+chondroitin as ive been told this is good for joint care.....Is there anything else i could give her or do...Any advice would be great

:) I give my rescued retired greyhounds glucosamine and chondroitin :b and I take it myself (bit of rheumatism), what about swimming? its supposed to be really good for exercising without straining. :luck:

massage, pair of warm hands, works wonders, give it a try, nowt to lose, i do it on my dogs

:luck:

Devils Claw is good for bad backs. I get mine from Healthspan and give both Rupert and Ronan 1 tablet twice daily

I agree with Keith - warmth and gentle massage plus time!

She really has done well and it's still early days really :)

:luck: and :huggles: for Peggy
