Does anyone ever stop to think that perhaps they're not using the correct pedigree dog? Was this dog (who produced pups as slow as snails) built correctly? Were its angles correct? Or did this bloke just use any old pedigree on his crossbred bitch and hope for wonders? .... and then Larry blames slowness on all pedgrees. And didn't the crossbred bitch have ANYTHING to do with the genetic mix of the pups?
I'm sure pedigree people do get tired of this argument. I know that my show dogs can catch a rabbit through dense bush and can catch a Kookaburra from a standing start in one corner of my 1/4 acre when the Kookaburra bombs dives for a worm in the other corner. That proves to me that they can do what they were bred for. I don't need to put 'em on a track with non-peds to test their worth.
I agree with Mutley and Paul, non-peds and peds are different categories and there's no need to compare one against the other. Only compare against dogs in your own category.
