i have been reading the posts for todays tragic news in london.

as all on k9 have said , deepest sympathy to all lifes lost and support for loved ones left behind.

2 accounts have been stated that one womans son was saved by being late and stopping to buy a bar of chocolate.

the other now ,a postman, would have been on the train when the first bomb went off.

im a great beliver in fate and have a story to support my belief.

many years ago my dad used to race whippets. we lived in scotland but were due to move down here for my dads work.

my mum brought my sister and myself down on a saturday but my dad stayed in scotland a few extra days as he had a ch race with his whippet . he would follow us down with a friend and his friends daughter in his friends car .

this little bitch was an experienced racer, knew the track really well ... but she ran straight over a 7 foot drop and broke her leg.

needless to say my dad stayed in scotland to have the little bitches leg pinned etc.. this meant he could not come down with his friend .

on the way home his friend had a car crash ,,, the driver was killed instantly and the passenger was paralysed from the waist down... one of those would have been my dad if the little girl hadnt of broken her leg ... fate ???

do you have any similar stories ??/

Wow . I believe in fate ,

My story is not about live or death like yours , but years ago I had a neighbour who was making my life hell , complained to the council about my dogs barking all night ( they dont but Id complained about his children being rude to me , I lived on my own then ) anyhow I went to a local elecrical store ( powerhouse ) and asked if they sold intercoms ( so I could hear if they were barking ) he said not but hed ring around other electrical stores for me . We got chatting :- " and Id mention about neighbour and that I was also having hassel at work , whereon he asked what I did , i told him, and he said ` Come back next week and i will give you a job , my admin is leaving !!

I couldnt belive it , I went to work on the following Monday with my notice in my bag to give to the boss in the afternoon , At 2 pm he called me in the office and gave me my redundancy notice (w00t) . needless to say I didnt give him my envelope , but came away £1500.00 better off

Now , If my neighbour hadnt complained about my dogs barking ( which they DONT !) I wouldnt have gone into Powerhouse and got myself a job but would really have been in tthe s  t

Thats` Fate `and everything happens for a reason .

I bet your dad was cursing your bitch , but in a way she saved his live , didnt she :p

wow ... weird stuff this fate ...just goes to show what seems bad at first can end up helping us in the end :luck: he was devastaded about his little girl ,, she had a couple of ops but the leg never really worked again so she enjoyed her retirement untill she was 19 then sadly passed away in her sleep ,,, that was his last race whippet ,, he never got over it ,, he has 2 now ,, both taltonia breeding 1 is 8 yrs old the other nearly 1 ,, both ended up with him as fate again !!! and a bedlington / whippet who is 12 ,,, purely pets and live the life of riley !!!! spoiled

Enjoyed reading very much both of your 'fate stories' - look forward to hearing more. Yes very weird - FATE.

Has nobody got any `fate ` stories to tell ?
