Since Indy was PTS Shelley has not slept upstairs. I always had the three dogs upstairs, Indy, Hattie and Shelley but now she sleeps downstairs on the settee which is really strange.

My neighbour's horse died last summer and her other horse was still out in the field. When she died he started galloping around shrieking at the top of his voice until they brought him in to see. He sniffed her all over as if to say goodbye and then went back to his field quiet as a mouse.

That's good to hear. The other whippet in our village has just lost one of his 80+ yr old owners and has been in deep mourning since.Jan Doherty said:Well Shelleys period of mourning seems to have come to an end and she rejoined us last night in bed. She seems to have cheered up full stop.

Yes, her name was Elizabeth. Even when she was almost completely blind she would venture blithely into the wilds with him, even during the flooding. The other one's not looking too well at the moment eitherOEH said:ooh not one of Henry's people? So glad that Shelly is feeling happier

Yes, we have offered. At the moment Sally ( whose lab OH walks) is doing it and it's driving her round the bend - she has to walk them separately as Henry keeps buggering off. :wacko:OEH said:That's awful. I didn't meet her very often, but she seemed really nice. If anyone is ever needed to walk Henry I'm always willing- he gets on quite well with Nana.
Good news Jan and Shelly of course. :luck: :thumbsup:Jan Doherty said:Well Shelleys period of mourning seems to have come to an end and she rejoined us last night in bed. She seems to have cheered up full stop.
