Wow you have a daughter & get to share her whippies :) That must be great

Its amazing how many show people have children who then grow up & go into dogs themselves. :)

The lady i bought my first IG from, her daughter would come along to the shows, only about 8 years old, i watched her go through Junior Handling & now in her twenties is an experinced handler & judge herself.

You must be VERY proud Kris, all the best to you & Jac :huggles:

my daughter used to do really well at junior handling, but as she grew through her teenager years and discovered boys and pop music she lost interest in showing.she bought her first whippy (buffy)as a pressy for her boyfriend (then her hubby)then when she got married a few years ago she decided to breed a litter from buffy as she would not accept another dog in the house so she decided to breed from her and keep a pup.that pup turned into 3!riley,jeebs and nell.then along came a non ped dobby.shes racing mad now!i think cos she enjoys watching the dogs enjoy themselves and doing what they were bred for.she first fell in love with whippys as a little girl.we knew harry and cath whimpanny from going to shows and jac used to always love sitting near to harry and playing with his dogs.she always wanted a whippy as a kid.now shes got 5! (w00t) anyway she moved back in with us before xmas last year and brought all the tribe with her. tbh we dote on them now. thanks for the good wishes hun :huggles:

I can understand her love of racing & watching them do what they enjoy, they just LOVE IT :)

Well, one whippy is NEVER enough so 5 to me sounds better (w00t) God she sounds just like me, cant bear to part with any

You must be a great mom  sure the whippies won you over in no time.

If i ever take mine racing (took the affies recently & would love to take the whippies) i'll look out for her & go & say Hello

have a go at it nina, theyll love it. only trouble is you might end up as addicted as her and be tearing all over the country racing your dogs! (w00t) and of course youll have to get a non ped as well cos theyre faster than peds so................ :- "

dana sends thanks for the hugs guys, she is fast asleep up my shirt at the mo and she is walking alot better on in now.
trish and graham - ive got a phobia of them too and an alergy to bee stings....good job i love her

kris - cheers for that i will have a look in town tomorrow, i just doused it in vinigar and that seemed to help her

just back to the bees for a minute

Vinegar is the wrong antidote for bee stings. Bees stings are acidic so you neutralise with alkali...wasp stings are alkali so neutralise with acid.............to remember which way round, follow my nana's lead

Vinegar for Vasps

Bicarb for Bees

hope this helps
