Have to say was really upset for Charlie and Joyce as they had two dogs and ended up with re runs with both - understand technical failures and disqualifications needing to be re run and i do realise occasionally traps etc. can be accidentally put on wrong marks - maybe we should all be more vigilant when putting our dogs in traps and check at that end ourselves and if we are not sure if they are right politely ask for marks to be checked- a bit like checking your change before leaving a shop after the event you can't walk back in and say sorry you gave me the wrong change!!! I do understand the racing should be fair so no back stabbing here just a point maybe we should all know what marks we should be on before the race and check this. (Not laying the blame here to anyone either i know just an accidental error just a thought if we all checked we wouldn't have upset people after the race had been run  ) Theres nothing worse than thinking you've won a race to be told its a re-run for any of us in any circumstance :)

totally agree with your comments can't apologise enough to Charlie and Joyce but there was an error and to be fair to all concerned it had to be put right we did our best in all three re- runs to give the dogs as much rest as required by the owners not just the normal 2 race rest I'm sure Charlie and Joyce are good sports and will accept the decision when theyve got over their disappointment

Hi Linda just to say there is no ill feeling over the re runs the first one with the young one it was her first race and she was a bit upset by it all so i didn't put her back in. The second one I just didn't have the energy to walk up the track again

and charlie was in no state to help me it took him all the time to get the ramp and get back to the car We play it by ear at the moment we take every day as it comes nothing too serious.

Another great day of racing although the weather could have been better. At least it was better for the dogs.

Well done to all the dogs who took part, especially Mochara who ran well again for Vicky & Mark taking overall supreme.

Surely the people whoes dogs are in the race should know what mark their own dog should be off,and if it is wrong they should say.

BEFORE the race was run i INFORMED the people on the line that i thought the marks were wrong. Im not trying to cause bother but if my dog was off the wrong mark id spot it straight away and have it rectified.

In future Joyce, ask me or Hazel and we will give you all the help you and Charlie need

Great photos Vicky. It's always nice to see pictures of your own dog racing.

I wasn't trying to cause trouble either was just making a point that if we knew the marks of our own race or had any doubt that it wasn't right we should politely take it up with the trapman prior to the race - i certainly wasn't proportioning any blame or trying to cause any trouble. Just a point for us to look at as we put our dogs in to help things run smoothly.

Sorry if it was taken in any other way other than as a constructive comment !!!

I dont give a rerun for a dog bumping, the dog in question is run by a good friend of mine but it had to be disqualified. Please be my guest and stand out in the rain for a few hours and halfway judge yourself, and you can always asked as to why the dog was disqualified and a rerun given, at least Keeley did.
