This follows on a bit from Kerry's post, Raw Chicken Wings. Tilly is 5 and lost her left hind leg 3 1/2 years ago in an RTA. She has always managed wonderfully and she's the only one who doesn't realise that it's missing - will still jump gates, fences and catch rabbits and squirrels given the opportunity. I know that adrenalin plays a large part in her athleticism and I have noticed recently that jumping into the car or onto chairs etc, she sometimes looks a bit stiff in her remaining hind leg. She is fed Burns complete and every day has either fresh or tinned sardines alternated with fresh chicken. We keep her light and she is extremely active although we've had to curtail some of her off lead walks because of recall difficulties.
I am thinking of putting her on Glucosamine and Chondroitin tablets and have found these on the Dorwest website. However, I notice that their Chondroitin sulphate is marine sourced which I am told is not the best source. Has anyone any thoughts of any aspects of this or alternative suggestions?
