Hi everyone hope your well.
Marley has just finished an antibiotic as he had an infection in his pad, vet thought he had something in there. He finished his med and meloxidyl on Sunday but his little pad still looks slightly swollen, he's walking fine running etc
I worry a lot about Marley, vet did say it could take a while for the swelling to settle.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this.
Thanks

Teddy had a bruised pad and it took 3 /4 weeks before his pad looked normal again ....

Mabel’s forepads have always seemed somewhat irregular. I’ll take a photo in the morning. She’s absolutely cream crackered at the moment - we’ve been walking on beaches and she’s sound asleep. Bear with me.

thank you

Whippylove, here are photos I took of her forepads this morning. They’re not clear as she wasn’t at her most cooperative.

Thank you for the pictures really helpful.
Mabels look pretty big as well. Marley has strange feet he has a small foot at the back and a long one it's always been that way very strange!

WE had something similar with Rusty a couple of weeks back - he was nibbling a pad like mad, so much so it was very red and scabby. Took him to the vet, nothing obviously visible in it, they gave him some meds (forget what it was) and said to wash it in cooled boiled water regularly and apply a small amount of Savlon to it. It seems to have sorted him out. The washing might help, I'd speak to your vet before using Savlon. I hope it gets better soon.
