luckily it was frozen solid and they got the whole way across safely.

:D don't worry I know the lake very well, some winters you can swim in it (I'm 5'11" and sometime I can't reach the bottom) and other winters you can skate on it. This was definately a skating day, well actually the water was a bit shallow before it froze so there is rather a lot of greenery poking through, but definietley strong enough for me to walk across so safe enough for the dogs.

i love cold crisp mornings when the grass is frozen, it makes a brill noise under foot :))

Yep, me too.

And the bonus is you don't need to spend an hour cleaning them down when you get home. :D
 
Brilliant pictures Olivia :cheers: really enjoyed them - it looked just like that here about 2 days ago honestly, thats the day I found the trout on top of the ice, still alive and gave him a helping hand back into the water. :thumbsup:

those days are lovely (brrrrr cold yes - but as Mazza says no cleaning when you come in) :cheers:
