Just wanted to say thank you all for making the 2nd Nationals a great day. From the other committee members who worked so hard to put it on, the members who helped out and everyone else who added to the friendly and lighthearted atmosphere. Geoff Cook and the Gloucester members for ensuring that we had the very best track to race on. Jane's stall was a great success and, as always, so was Steve & Sue's raffle. Thank you to everyone who helped them out with goods and also those who helped to run the stalls.

The weather was perfect for racing, not too hot and not too cold.

Well done to all the dogs who gave us such a great days racing. Special congrats to the new half coats, RCh's and VCh's.

I didn't keep a programme up so I can't put up the results. Sorry folks! For someone who didn't do much today I'm exhausted, though I'm enjoying a bottle of girly wine.

Thanks again from me to all of you.

I would like on behalf of all racers to thank everyone who worked soooo hard today to make it as brilliant as possible, June Foster did a fab job with the trophies and the presentation as usual was a very enjoyable end to yet another fantastic days racing ;)

once again we all enjoyed some very close racing from the heats to the finals :sweating: :sweating: the npwra camera has paid for it's self already this year

so to everyone on the committee and for those who are not but are always willing to help....THANKYOU and well done

It was certainly a very well run day no hold ups well done committee and all that help

Just wanted to say what a beautiful day we had at the 2nd Nationals held at Gloucester, everything was perfect i.e the ground, weather, equipment, but mainly the atmosphere, whether they won or lost, and thats how it should be

Well Done all the committee members and helpers on the day  Well done June for the beautiful throphies once again, Jane for her Bring and Buy, and Sue and Steve with the Raffle, Indi with bike and especially Lesley Shearing with the PA, and Betty Beaumont for her wonderful presentation

Mozza made my day Lou. I was looking at the wrong dog (all whitey ones look the same to me  ) until I saw your face and then I just knew. I was so chuffed that Kev was there to see another one of his pups winning a championship. Moz never put a paw wrong all day. I'm so glad he showed what he can do all day. (From a pup he's always had a bit of my heart).

Brilliant day once again! I am still glowing from the sunshine and laughter we had with Tina and Colin, Karen and Mick,(well done with your boys - newly crowned National Champion Chase The Bear!), and the Nind family next to us were a scream! This evening there was it seemed, better news for the Blue Gang. Both their boys had their first run back following injury. It seemed that the injuries had returned, and they would be off for a while. Thank goodness, the outcome doesnt look so bad. I have fallen asleep about 20 times writing this .message. Lying here with seven whippets in my sleepìng bag in the caravan!

Perfect!

Right I am properly awake now! Which is more than I can say for Sweep, he can barely open his eyes. He was the same last week after running 4 races. Old age is getting to us all! Thanks to everyone who made yesterday such a great day, and well done to all new half coats, we couldnt be happier for you Colin and Tina, Shadow did you proud. The Peppermints were on form again too, with Perfection taking the fastest ime of the day, and both she and Bobster winning their weight groups again! Well done all :- )

Well done everyone who helped top make the day so good. Well done too to new Champion Chase the Bear, new Vet Champs Whiphaven Moondust and Opal Nugget. Also lovely to see the new half-coats Cheap Thrills and Shadow winning.

Lesley and Mark ended up with no dogs running but both helped all day without a break. I think Denise was on the line all day too with Neville, Maureen, Jane etc there a lot too. Hear your stall went well Jane  Junes trophies were great and I especially loved the display of Velvet Jackets all embroidered with the winners names. Don't know who was on the traps etc as I was never down that end but thanks to them too. There were no re-runs and everything seemed to go very smoothly :D Even the weather was good! Special thanks to Lesley Shearing for helping me fill out all the backs of all the passports

What a lovely day at the nationals again. Well done everyone and thanks for all the hard work on view and behind the scenes. it was just what racing should be.. and always used to be, great sport, great fun, lots of good friends and all round "good crack". Well done all the new Champs and Half coats and only hoping there were no injuries.... except for my little Dragonfly who has torn [i think] her hamstring. Thanks so much to Steve for identifying it for me and stopping further damage. I wonder she found time in her busy schedule of repetitive injuries to become a vet. Champion.!!!.. but thank goodness she did. A special welldone to little Nibs, those two have been very lady-like little adversaries since puppy-hood!! Guinea will be off to sandra this week, but probably will retire now and rest on her laurels!! cheers all see you at Glos.Incidentally, how great it was to see Rob and Kay's little Flo toddling round happily and so obviously enjoying her social day out. Well done you two, she's a credit to your love and care. Also how good to have good news of lesley's Ozzie's improvement too. Wonderful!!

Incidentally, how great it was to see Rob and Kay's little Flo toddling round happily and so obviously enjoying her social day out. Well done you two, she's a credit to your love and care.!
Thanks Gill, - I'm sure Flo did enjoy her day out, she is always pleased to see other whippets and whippet folk. :) It was just a year yesterday since her accident, - can't tell you how good it is to see her pottering about and happy. Thank you for coming over and making a fuss of her!

Do hope little Dragonfly is soon on the mend and feeling much better. :luck:

See you at Gloucester in two weeks.x

HELP!!! am I thick or what?? Where have Rob and kay's lovely photos gone?? I wanted to have yet another good look at them...I wa rudely interrupted yesterday by my dear hubby bringing me my "Sam-cooked supper". mustn't grumble.. but his timing is cr..p!Any ideas clever folks out here??

Don't worry Gill - it happens to us all! :teehee: The photos are on the 'CONGRATULATIONS' thread started by The Bruvs.
