Hi all,

Although i already feed my lot a mostly barf diet and read more than fair bit on the subject through this site and the tinernet id like to buy a book ( just cause i like reading mainly :b ) Wondered if anyone knows of any particular good ones out there? am i right in thinking the Dr Ian Billinghurst ones were abit contraversional (sp)? I dont know in what way they were

 Lisa

I think most people share info on the net re barf - dr billingshurst book may be a bit different as hes out in Oz

everyone has different ways of how they like to feed raw but as long as you vary and give meaty bones and veg as well .....

i speak to my friends who feed barf and we share ideas between us

some dogs tolerate different meats better than others so its a case of trial and error with your own :)

Thanks  im feeding mine mostly on a barf diet and and more than happy with the way i feed them and their condition  just fancied buying a new book! :b

Tom Londsdale has two books out that are good. "Raw Meaty Bones" and "Work Wonders". They are more focused on the prey model diet rather than barf. Just a different way of raw feeding (and the one I personally prefer).

Hope that helps.

Hi ya, Thanks for that. Id seen work wonders on amazon and thought it looked good. Which one out of the two is his lastest book?

I think "Work Wonders" is the most recent. It's a small book with lots of info on the in's and out's of raw feeding. "Raw Meaty Bones" is a bigger book and goes more into details on the problems with commercial dog foods and why we should raw feed our dogs. Both good books, but if you want a more practial book on raw feeding I think "Work Wonders" is the one to go for.
