Cant let this thread go quiet without giving my lil angel Cleo (turbo tootsies) a mention...she was a darling, but a pain for running left lol made me panic everytime i run her if she wasnt on the left she was showing so much promise for a young dog and it gave me so much pleasure watching my lil lad bobby run HIS dog and his face when she won was priceless (w00t) What i would give to have that lil dog back just to see Bobby with her (well and cos we all miss her)... hes just not into the racing since we lost her. He's got a picture of her in his room and at night still cries if he looks and thinks about her but he will NOT let me take it out.So gotta say just for the pleasure it gave bob to run her she needs a mention for bobbys BEST dog and also HIS BEST friend he will never forget
Aww im at work Sade shouldnt put stuff like this on till you know im at home sniff sniff

WELL ME AND MILLY USE TO LIKE RACING CLEO HAD SOME GOOD CLOSE RACES AND LOOK SO ALIKE

I have to say Springsteen ( Tessa) she was brought by someone we knew and didn't settle, she was veyy thin and bald and quite ugly when she arrived, she soon turned out to be stunning in looks and temprement and was lovely to race.

Steinman (Ziggy) he would only let me race him, bit the trap man and who ever weighed him in, but to race he gave every thing.

Stewart (Zip) well anyone could run him, but to watch him come from behind and finish so fast was breath taking.

Now l like to watch while the youngsters do the running up the track and take delight in watching the dogs run :))

Yes Ray they did look alike i'll always have a soft spot for your Milly  and still love to watch her race :D

Had to just come and have a nosy what you'd replied - thought you'd have put Johnny, know how much you love running him (w00t)

mine would have to be booker s 30lb susan,,,,,,,she was good at whippet racing,,,unfortanly i didnt take her to champs till she was near veteran but got runner up to (pot music ) in final,,,,,,,,,she was the lurcher racing queen up here for a few years ,that was one off the hardest races too win,,,9 races in 3hours,,,at 12month old,,,,,,,and she was excelent rabbit dog,,,,,,,plus a good club dog at polbeth & arbroath wrc,,,,,,,,,

cast off was faster for her size,,,,and probably dog,s i have now are faster than her,,,,,,,,,,,,but for me booker s beat 160 plus dogs on the day & being the smallest there,,,and 9 races and still a pup,,,,she will always remain my faveroutie,,,,,,,,as she gave 100% all the time,,,WIN OR LOSE,,,,,she did her best never let me down,,,,,

hey,,got Sally,,Booker s on video,,old tape of her going reg for champs,,also my Fancy Whisky,my very first racing dog,,I got from Trapper as Cindy had a nasty leg injury,,would never race,,and she did not race,,but wee whiskey my very first whippet did me proud,,put a few lbs on her,,kinda new,,liked to see no ribs,,but she won me loads of races,,then I bought Abbey,,wee git would run when she wanted lol,,but she was a smashing wee girl,,loved her to bits and she loved me,,thats what counts,,the good old days,,and you were just a wee boy when Sally was running,,remember it well,,thought more would have replyed to this post,,as we all have memorious (sp) of the dogs we used to love to race,,,win or lose,,I used to lose a lot till Gizmo,,Georges Choice at the age of about 19 months decided to rum to win,,,he was very slow to learn the ropes,,very thick lol

had sally on video at champs susan,,but i think we lost it,,,,,,,just aswell,,,,as i hated seeing myself back then lol bushy curly hair,,,,white or somtimes denim shirt tucked into my trousers with big belt pure 80,s fashion lol,,,,,,,,when i looked back,,,i thought i didnt wear that,,,,,but camrea never lies lol

shame we are all dvds now,,,,,,,,would have been nice to see some old races off our faviroute dog,s,,,,,,,and other dogs we liked to watch racing from years ago

i liked watching bill,s dog ( hamshank ) kizzy,,,,,,cause she was bully whippet,,,,but could run a little,,,in her weight class,,,,,mind her a bend reg ch,,,,,,she would run tooth and nail,,,,but always got beat just at line,,,,,,,,( she was my favrouite underdog,,,,that i just wanted to see win a big race,,,,,but it never happened lol ) she ran at old kirkcaldy wrc mostly

I think this is quite hard, i have loved running all my dogs and each one has different traits when racing, my first bitch that i took with me when i left home many moons ago, blue and white bitch Winnipeg won a bit at club nothing anywhere else in fact my best memory of racing her was when the judges placed her first when she was quite clearly LAST haha i was called to the judges box for arguing wth them, they said no one complains at being given first place in a race, but i did and still would if i knew i was 'last' haha. Double Trouble was such a dream to race and did some great racing as a youngster got injured through a loose dog early in her career and never raced the same. Twice As Nice (ok maybe my all time fav) gave loads of pleasure always gave 110% but was the unluckiest bitch when any major race came along, but winning her Vet Champ at Seaham gave me and the girls such a thrill. Still with us now (14). Her pups twice as sweet and twice as cool rubbish but had brill characters, My Cinderella now she was a nightmare at racing and at home but gave us alot of pleasure won us loads at club still is a nightmare and getting worse as she gets older (thanks Chris  ) Then on to the ones we running now Two Faced and No Angel both very different dogs, Tora a bitch but owes us nothing ran brill until injured but not quite the same these days, No Angel (ok No Flyer but won her title and scottish yearing champs my little worm

(again thanks Chris but this time with a  Then there were all the ones i raced with mum and dad, favourite then had to be Rch Country Lady, won loads for us but was a cow with anyone else on field apart from me mum and dad wouldnt let anyone else near her, when she won her titles no one could come and congratulate you cos she just bit everyone :teehee:

Bloody hell done it again another essay - sorry

ONE OF THE BEST DOG I HAVE RACED HAS TO BE BOMBER (GILLETTE) HE USED TO RUN HIS RACE AND THEN JUMP IN YOUR ARMS PUT HIS HEAD OVER YOUR SHOLDER AND GO TO SLEEP . -_- -_- YET THE WORST ONE WOULD HAVE TO BE TOBY (HES A MYSTERY) HE WAS LOOPY HE DIDNT BARK HE USED TO SCREAM LIKE BONNIE TINKER YOU COULDNT GO NEAR THE TRACK TILL IT WAS HIS RACE
