Well done to all the team-A very pleasant and well oraganised day! Never seen so many raffle prizes! Also seemed to be a fair few locals having a look which can only be good if your patch is under threat.

Didn't need the wellies afterall Sue.

Well done to Colorado and Biddy!

Hope Harry got one of the Wee Man running as Ive not got a photo of him racing. Glad the rain stayed off :D

ahem ... ammendment to the bitch final results Moany Moany(28) was 2nd and Swift Decision(24) 3rd (or at least that was the order that the flags were put up)

Please note I have sacked my racing assistant and remember the comment - if you want something doing right then do it yourself. Poor Kerri no trophies for her :p alas also she is off to the vet tomorrow the cut in her foot is much worse than previously thought, hoping for the best she should be back for the Scottish Derby at the latest.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day and Thanx go again to Mrs Kiers who put us up for the night allowing us to travel on Saturday and race on Sunday making it a less tiring day  .

just a small thanks to every 1 who came to our meeting 2 day ,we got a good response and had good racing ,i would also like to say a big thanks to all who donated there prize money back into the charity , as you all know it takes a lot of work to produce an open but for me today it was a pleasure we hadn t any complaints or silly arguing fantastic , it was nice to meet some new faces at our track i would also say hello to fleesh and family i hope i did not spoil your breakfast at 9 this morning. phil

What a well run event and this track gets better every time I go there and in my opinion it must be in the top five best running surfaces in the country I hope that you get to keep it. It was nice to get a trophy for winning a weight class and the supreme trophys were lovely. Thanks for a great day out.

she (Kerr) is off to the vet tomorrow the cut in her foot is much worse than previously thought, hoping for the best she should be back for the Scottish Derby at the latest.
Poor girl severed the lateral ligament in her toe and had to have part of it removed she'll be off for 6 weeks at least before she trials if not 8 depending on ground contitions. We think she probably came for the lure wrong and caught the toe or maybe she ran wrong at some point, it was just one of those things.

East Ayrshire what a great open!

And such a small club well done and thanks

Steve.

Thanks for the photos Steve, and yes Fleesh Moni Moni was 2nd in the bitch final. I would like to thank everybody who came. We managed to raise 191.20 for Cancer Research. My sister,Janice, would like to thank everybody for one of the most enjoyable, albeit emotional, days of her life.I'm sure my dad was watching (shouting for Misty as usual) and thinkin to himself "this is how whippet racing should be".Once again thanks to everybody and I hope to see everyone at our next open on the 15th of August.

Great effort, Danny wish I could have come but my dog has been of injured and the cough. As you might already know my mum is very ill with the dreaded C, she is doing ok but the future is not bright acording to the doctors, I hope to be up for the derby when i will give you a donation for the cause, cheers Scotty.

Well Done to you and everyone who attended in raising £191.20 for the charity.

By the looks on the people's faces who had read about it in the paper and came for a quick look they really enjoyed it too.

I hope Tigger is back and racing again soon Scotty he had such a good bend season for himself it is rather unlucky that he had to come down with cough and get injured - be looking forward to see him back, his weight class is getting to look rather interesting.

Connors Lass gets her stitches out in 2 weeks :D we might just make it to run her in the derby but not pushing her into anything - she still wants to walk on 3 legs though the vet said she should be on four by now(I think she just discovered that while one foot is bandaged up it is quicker to go round on 3).
