Just a wee reminder especially to all new pup/dog people to be aware of the dangers of these grass seeds. They are everywhere at the moment and even though I take as much care as possible one of the dogs I walk managed to get one up his nose yesterday, luckily I saw the feathery end sticking out of his nostril before he started sneezing violently! He was taken to the vets that afternoon, anaesthetized and had it removed, big phew!! It was lodged in his nose still and hadn't migrated anywhere else or had time to cause infection thankfully.
Absolute nightmare, I walked him this morning, he is fine and dandy though he was lucky I let him stop to sniff anything as I was so paranoid!
So a timely reminder for all I thought. For those that don't already know, these things can get in to nail beds, ears, eyes, throats as well as noses and will always cause really nasty problems if not noticed!

Wow lucky pup and well spotted.....you are right it really is an issue and they get in and migrate very quickly
