Training your dogs as well as you know how, paying your money, taking your chance, not even winning the raffle.
And still taking your champions home

And picking other people's trophies up for them :- "

Things I love about whippet racing are firstly the dogs, secondly the dogs, thirdly the dogs, also the great friends we've made, the laughs we have along the way, the excitement when the lids fly up and lastly of course the dogs :D

The good thing about racing is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Robbie,,,,I would never have had him unless I raced.

Getting out the house :D .

We are going to the English Derby as we just love the holiday :D :D

Whippets are so addictive you just have to have more than one, the whole procedure starting from a new puppy turning it into adult racer is exciting to follow, great things about whippet racing, owning great little dogs you can take anywhere holiday etc, watching them race, watching new dogs(up and coming talent) on the open scene run well, I love to see new youngsters coming through(thats the best) watching pups you have bred develop and run well. loads of friendly like minded people always willing to help when needed that will talk about dogs all day when all family and work mates are sick to the back teeth and totally uninterested in bloody Whippets (fools)

lol you sound like me! I do find it amusing on Monday mornings in work when folk recap their weekend ''went B&Q'', '' Did you watch dancing on ice'' etc -_-

They don't know what they're missing! :D

Like Kate said it's not about where they come, it's seeing your dog run it's heart out and doing it just to please you, I feel honoured.

peaceful walks on a nice day,can not get enough of these. cuddles on the couch.

keeping them in shape.

racing win or lose as long as they come off ok  my dogs will always be my champions. bad accidents at the track make me think what am i doing to my best friends very close to packing in sometimes i must be to soft, but i love my dogs.
