Just saw a trailer for a film about a boy that has a hard life- comes across a lurcher who he races and nearly loses :sweating: - ie- being 'knocked on the head'!

sounds really sweet- nearly made me cry just from trailer

Quite a good film, think there's a few threads about it on here somewhere.

Love Ken Stott as an actor and he played a good part as the greyhound trainer

it's a good film, as much about people as about dogs

but the cruelty is appalling and I found the film depressing overall (esp because of what happened to the dog named "Mighty Celt")

I actually rented it the other day but sent it back without watching it, I wasn't sure just how sad it was.......? :(
