Well the 13th certainly lived up to it`s reputation today. After a good start we had a myriad of technical problems with the lure (s) pulleys , you name it. Anyway , we overcame the problems with a bit of quick thinking by the assembled team and we were rewarded with some great runs. It shows what can be achieved when you get people working together. Thanks to everyone for their patience , and thanks to Patrick for keeping going when everything went pearshaped with the lures. We finished the card and Plate and purse a little later than we thought , but we got hrough in the end!!

Thanks also to Arron and Francis for their hospitality and for having 20 odd whippet owners tramping round their house and property, Arron you are a true sportsman even though you support the wrong mancunian team :cheers:

Thanks to judge Brian Lumb and to all the helpers Arron had recruited.

I`ll post pics and results tomorrow, but well done to Sarah and Bob on their winner
 
Brian Lumb , top guy and one of the nicest guys involved in coursing greyhounds.

pity ryedale had to close he did a grand job
 
As Nigel has said after a shaky start we all pulled together to have some top class sport among friends & club members thank you all for your support & all getting stuck in Thank you to all the officals & Arron its a good job some of the real Mancs still know a real good team :thumbsup: Well done to our Judge Brian you did a sound job well done to all our winners see you on the 4th October time to taste the wine i won on the raffle :cheers:

Here here Nigel, many thanks to all those who pulled together to keep today going. But a big thankyou has to go to Patrick, you just kept smiling :huggles:

It appeared that he was taking a lot of stick for someone who had agreed to supply and drive the lure as a favour. YOU ARE A STAR!!

Also well worth a big thank you to Jeff and co who ran with the lure.

very pleased with all my girls, but especially Lola for breaking Jinx's winning streak...... she has been a bit quiet this week and a little off colour, despite this and one run more than everyone else ( :oops: ..... loose dog!) she ran her little heart out to beat Jinx in the main stake final. what a babe she is :wub:
