Utility: The utility dog is mainly, but not exclusively, compromised of dog breeds that were initially bred and raised for a specific working purpose that is no longer in use today. The name ‘Utility’ means fitness for a purpose and this group consists of a very varied bunch!


Examples include: Akita, Chow Chow, Lhasa Apso, Poodle, Schnauzer, Dalmation, Tibetan Terrier, French Bulldog and Shar Pei.
