Took my camera with me as the light was so lovely tonight, and I wanted to take some pics of our 'secret' lake.

Light is lovely through the grass, now above my head!

Just taking another one when dog has a nice surprise, and I have a panic! The tail belongs to a muntjac (don't worry, he didn't follow it into the hedge).

Someone needs a nice drink after that little run

I look red brindle in this light...

Our lovely lake, only accessible from our house (and over the fence by the odd, sometimes very odd, fisherman)

Lovely pictures, the one of the lake is amazing. Dont you just love summer evenings :D

Nice pictures - your whippets almost the same colour on that photo as the new collar. ;) Lovely lake scene.

lovely photos,i love this time of year, especailly in the evening :sweating:

Lovely photos. I was almost starting to forget you had a whippet - looks like he has learnt a thing or two from your ducks, though!

It looks so beautiful and warm! I can just smell all those widflowers and grasses. We finally got winter here, it's wet (well, we did need the rain) and cold and my dogs spend their days in front of the fire. :)

Yes, our 2 days of summer are here! Yes, the scent is overpowering (elder and cow parsley) although not what you'd call 'sweet'! The lake is covered with pyramidal orchids at the moment, lovely!

OH came back from morning walk yesterday with the most appalling hay fever - his eyes had disappeared completely the swelling was so bad. No more lake walks until the pollen is over :(

When our dog comes back from his summer walks he always walks through the thickest grass, rubbing his head/eyes (and then has a good roll and a nibble of it). I wondered if the pollen was irritating his eyes too!

End of a lovely day - hope tonight is as lovely even though I'll be viewing it alone again! (and the dog isn't that enthused by the view when there's not a furry tail to be seen)

Beautiful shots Elizabeth...but then you're not a novice, i know!

Sunsets just adds the most glorious colour to photos and throw everything else into wonderful silhouettes.

I took my two out last night up into the hills to catch the sunset, and because it was so warm still at 9.30 (great minds think alike). Only trouble was that there wasn't much of one. Clouds and hills got in the way!

Have you got a digital camera now now?

Yes, we have several quite old ones but none up to action shots. OH is planning to get the new Canon SLR (sorry number escapes me, but the new version of what Scott uses), as we could do with something to take good stills for print use on our music video shoots. He'll probably buy it near my birthday and pretend it's my present :- "

...which will be fine, as I can then get him a whippet puppy for his with a clear conscience
