Paula do you mind me asking a few technical questions so I can understand breeding a bit better? Was this Gypsy's first litter? And will it be her only one because she had such a bad time? Does it follow that if they have a bad time, then they'll always have a bad time?

Hi Helen firstly yes it was her first litter, i will not breed off her again because i dont think you should tempt fate twice we could have so easily have lost her i would never have forgiven myself if this had happened, i know a few people who have had to have cesarians on there first litters but then have gone on to have normal deliveries later. If our vet hadnt been so great then Gypsy would have had to have a cesarian and we could of lost little Todd whilst waiting for Gypsy to come home. Hope this helps but dont let this put you off there is nothing like breeding your own litter from your own bitch picking a stud dog you like the only problem is which pup to keep.
