Well . . . . . hello to everybody again - I've not posted since I lost my beautiful boy, Sam way back in February.

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for your kind and supportive messages about Sam - it still hurts like hell. I miss him so so much. He will never be replaced. I know it's a cliche, but just spend every spare moment with your dogs - they are gone all too soon.

I feel now that I am able to, at least, participate some more here - I have missed it here with you good people, but felt I couldn't even LOOK at another Whippet.

One way I have paid tribute to Sam is by setting up a website in his memory. Basically, it's a tribute site designed to help those who have been unfortunate enough to have lost their beloved dogs. I design & upload tributes free of chrage to anybody who would like one; also there is a pet loss support group, and plenty of resources to help people through a very sad time.

On Sam's own tribute page, I have expressed that I would like to raise funds for JR Whippet Rescue. As a lifelong member of the Rescue, I see it as one appropriate way to honour my boy. By setting up Sam's Memorial Fund, I figure that might help to get some extra funds for the Rescue. No harm in trying is there?

Anyway folks, thanks for reading, and please do take a look at the site. If anybody would like to place a tribute for any of the Whippets you have lost, please do let me know, I will be extra happy to place beautiful Whippets on the site.

Please do let me know what you think via this or my own site.

Finally, it's good to be back . . . . .

I think that's a wonderful idea but you have just made me cry by reading the whispering dog - it does make you think about these wonderful animals we share our life with and do not always appreciate how lucky we are to have them, thanks and good luck with it.

:huggles:

Ive had a look at your web site and its wonderful i lost my Whippet cross in March she was only 9 and like you cannot start to express what that does to you, she was my soul mate and was with me through thick and thin Good luck with your venture it seems a great idea.

What a really lovely idea.

I cannont imagine losing our family dog Patches who is now getting older and also our little Poppy. We have fallen in love in such a small space of time.

So nice to pay tribute to those who touch our lives in such a special way.

The whispering dog made me cry to,I spend ages chatting away to Poppy.

Sam was lovely, some great pics on your site. :)

Welcome back

What a lovely idea  The site is brillant :))

Thank you for your kind words.

I'm so glad you like the site, and the idea. It's very encouraging to know that!

Much toil and heartache went (goes) into working on it - thank you!
