Did he have any other teenage behaviours? Are you in Wales? Just wondered by your name. I've lived in Aberystwyth, Neath, Newtown, Cardiff and Brecon lol.

Didn't he just! No recall and selective deafness being a couple of them. My lovely biddable pup vanished and this holy terror replaced him. It was like having a 14 year old boy around the place - knew what he wanted to do but not how to go about it ;)

At 11 months he's still unreliable on recall but getting better again. There is definitely light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm currently in the process of moving back to Wales permanently. At the moment we spend too much time on the M4 and M5 with splitting time between Bristol, Vale of Glamorgan and Llanrwst.... Of the lot I like Llanrwst best but I don't think full time up there is possible at the moment. i won't be sorry to leave Bristol though

I find it very disturbing that vets still push 6 months. It's such an invasive surgery that takes out a system that dogs need to grow. Maybe, things one day will change, with all the studies and information coming out in modern day, about how altering dogs too early, has both behavior AND physical problems arise from it. I, personally, prefer getting my dogs done at 4-5 years old, unless they are dogs who are in my breeding program, then I'd maybe wait an extra year or two. I feel they've had plenty of time to grow and mature, but also aren't too old, where some of the health issues are more likely to pop up from still being intact, where if they did, they'd be older and more frail to go through those complications and a surgery. I used to be against altering altogether, but feel my stance on it now, is the best for my dogs! The earliest I'd accept it being done is at 2 years old - no matter the breed or size. :)
