Three legged dog getting old :(

My Collie X has had three legs for a few years now, but he is getting older & struggling more.

Any tips on how to help him get around now?

apart from keeping his heart in tip top condition and as light as you can, ive seen dogs with some sort of contraption as a 4th leg that has wheels, how old is the dog?

I don't have much advice for caring for a 3 legged dog, but would possibly ask your vet?

ruffwear do a full body doggy harness, which does up very securely under their tummies, with a nice strong handle on the back. They are very useful for helping an old dog up, or up stairs, or for general lifting. Perhaps one of these may be useful? You could use it to help take a bit of the weight off his feet?

Thanks for the tips. I will look in to the harness idea! I've also looked in to dog boots to save his paws, but he didn't like them!

He will be 10 in October.
