Great news, Nicky

Irie carried his head very low for about 3-4 weeks after he did the damage but he gradually got back to normal and is fine now.

Hopefully Tia will recover perfectly and be back to her normal self very soon now :D

Oh Nicky, that is such a wonderful photo to see :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

Great news... :) so glad she able to lie whippet like again.

Hi Nicky, i'm so happy to hear that Tia is OK, judging by her contorted sleep position it seems whatever was wrong has definately righted itself.

Perhaps she had the canine version of fibrositis or something similar - i've had that several times (you can do it turning in your sleep, I done it once just simply putting my jacket on), it's very painful, you can't turn your neck and every movement hurts.

I feel the same about my boys so you are not alone in worrying, i'd be exactly the same. I'm so glad that she's OK.

thanks everyone ,bit of an update ,she had bit of pain last night about 12 she only yelped once so i gave her some metcam straight away and she then had a peacefull night but this morning she seems fine again apart from she now limping on her back left leg wen she gets up from lying down im wondering if this is wear the pain is coming from ,im so at a bloody loss

how lovely to see her in a typical whippet pose again !

must have been a pulled muscle, did the vet say massage would be ok ? and a little hot water bottle on her neck to keep the muscle warm ?

It prob will take a few weeks to get back to normal but seems like she's turned the corner :huggles: :huggles:

Funny you should say that Nicky........I wonder if you'd be interested in checking out a website about the canine bowen technique - on their website they mention about how one part of the body hurting can affect another area, infact they use the example that a painful leg could shift the body forward and in turn cause the head/neck to be thrown out.

I don't know much about the bowen technique on dogs but I do know that it works really well for humans, i've had it done myself when I had a bad back and I often refer my clients for bowen treatments if they have things like tennis elbow, frozen shoulder etc (i'm a reflexologist and trainee homeopath). Have a read and see what you think.

Nicky so glad shes feeling better that photo speaks for its self :huggles:

Yikes! They are SO bendy! Harley sleeps all bent up too. Never seen a dog as bendy as one of my crested girls - Squiggle though!

Iv just sat and caught up with this thread (had to look back another page to see what had happened as i only seen this thread and it didnt make sense). Im so glad Tia seems to be on the mend. Im sorry have no advice or experience of this but im sending Tia all the love and healing thoughts in the world. Those videos brought tears to my eyes by the way. :(

aw hunny thats great news, im so glad to see she is doing so much better. they do love to worrie us dont they lol

Well thank goodness for that. Are there any McTimoney practitioners near you? If she has any pain in her back / neck they should be able to find it - definately worth a go. :luck:
